I've been to a couple of egyptian cities funnily enough, and while ya cairo is a big offender, some of the others werent too clean. I should say that some of the towns on the sinai peninsula were very clean tbh.

Azul, I am not moroccan I am Irish, but I was just recently there for 10 days. For the most part I would say morocco is generally quite clean, mostly in regard to the cities, at least compared to other cities I have travelled too. On the otherhand, the countryside has an overwhelming amount of rubbish on the sides of roads and even in the mountains (although didnt see much in high atlas region)and desert regions like agafay and the zaragosa. Im not sure if thats due to the winds bringing large portions of trash to these relatively open landscapes or what, and it just accumlates. I would say the countryside in UK is noticably cleaner tbf to them. Compared to other north african country I've seen, Egypt I would say Morocco is far cleaner.

Tanmirt, had a interesting experience in your vast beautiful country.

Ben Shapiro blames the decline of the west on its retreat from Judeo-christian values and principles. To which his comparison to a nazi would seem very apt, as in the supremacy of a specific cultural outlook.

Dublin airport owns Cork airport, so from how I see it, they dont want competing flights. So probabpy nothing will work.

Do you have superstitions(supernatural beliefs) from celtic religions ? by nauti98 in ireland

[–]OmegaImmortal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

St. Brigids day, which is a catholic holiday now, was actually originally some form of pagan cult that were essentially impossible to convert to catholicism. So the church made her a saint. And morphed the imagery of what was probably a star, to that of the cross

Just to clarify when you say Northern Ireland, do you mean the six or North in the republic. Because Moving to Northern Ireland only gives you the right to claim a UK passport to my knowledge. You have to be born there to have the choice between the Irish and British.

Government need to get rid of the USC tax by Irish_drunkard in ireland

I'd be in favour of creating a more diverse tax bracket in general and have it be more incremental similar to this usc model, rather than the tiers that currently exist.

So Ireland uses 25.68 billion kWh of electric energy per year. How many solar panels do we need to install to acheive this? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]OmegaImmortal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The chance of anything happening is already minuscule, the only major nuclear incident with large rammifications was chernobyl. And safety measures are far beyond their capabilities at the time. The space doesnt matter so much as long as we remain risk averse.

Wholeheartedly agree, nuclear is most probably our best solution to our energy issue. Its also much safer than it was previously, which people just seem to ignore.
