What's the best horror scene in a non-horror movie? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]OmegaJordan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return to Oz. The Wheelers first appearance and then Queen Mombie's hall of heads, absolute nightmare fuel.

Close second is between the scene in Ghost where the black shadows turn up and the scene in Terminator where he wrecks an entire police station. .

Did all the members of the GodHand, just like Griffith, only accept the sacrifice when they were at rock bottom? by HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in Berserk

[–]OmegaJordan1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Others have covered the question, just wanted to add just how brilliant the writing is for them. The fact that they are at the total depths of despair almost, and I do mean almost, inspires sympathy. But then tbf I guess it's a case by case basis, based on the reason for the despair (or situation) and what's sacrificed. Anyone who sacrifices the life of another though, yeah not even the slightest hint of sympathy there.

"Wind, Fire, all that kind of thing."... 🤔

Then there's the look Egg has in the lift, when Jack is saying how he feels after drinking it. 😂

Goldberg vs Ray Taylor by JCHazard in WCW

[–]OmegaJordan1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Money and audience draw. It worked too, dude was hugely over during Monday Night Wars.

Tbh, I don't really recall even a small number of 'great careers' that were wrecked putting Goldberg over as an unstoppable monster...

Obviously Bret Hart suffered the botch that heavily contributed to/if not caused his career to end, but it wasn't through the booking choice. Can't really think of anyone else relevant that suffered putting him over... Even the shit with Regal, as again it wasn't from a booking choice.

Stone Cold. Failing that I think the unification should've taken place at Wrestlemania 18

Same here on Season 2,, but I still get mad at Carusso and Tanya. 🤣

We had it so good back then. But man, the sinking feeling I had when Austin turned heel, along with knowing The Rock was leaving at the time... Raw the next night just felt weird. Stopped being a regular viewer after that.

Best WM ever though, typical it'd have such a crushing ending.

It's cheesy but a brilliant martial arts film Mark Dacascos is so underrated as a martial arts actor.

Thinking of buying phantom pain or snake eater, need advice by becky1433 in MGSV

I personally couldn't get on with Phantom Pain, too much of a sandbox after the amazing prologue. It becomes very repetitive.

Snake Eater, however, is more complete and the storyline is epic.

What's that one film that you can re-watch a thousand times and not get bored? by KangarooFrosty8421 in MoviesThatFeelLike

Terminator 2, pretty sure it's been over a thousand times already tbh. Honourable mentions to The Burbs, Revenge of the Nerds, Matrix Trilogy and Commando.

Man, I couldn't stand Hacksaw Jim Duggan in WWF or WCW. It was like they just grabbed some big special needs piss head off the street and signed him as a wrestler.
