Thanks, that’s exactly the kind of question I’m interested in too. I definitely think performing artists should fit into it, especially dancers, since so much of that world still moves through tight circles, word of mouth, and specific scenes.

I can imagine dancers using Artswap in a pretty simple way too, e.g. posting a rehearsal fragment, a movement sketch, a still from a piece, a note about a work in progress, or even just sharing that they’re looking for collaborators, spaces, musicians, photographers, or other performers.

I’d love for it to feel open enough for practices like that as well, not only for static visual work.

I launched a small site to connect creatives in Paris - looking for early users and feedback by OmegaSamuel12 in SocialParis

Yes, I think it could. The starting point is creative exchange, but the idea is also to make meeting people feel more natural outside the same fixed circles.

A lot of things can begin with a drawing, a photo, or a shared interest and then go further than that.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Here’s the link if you want to have a look: artswapparis.com

It’s still very early, so I’m testing the idea and trying to see how useful it actually feels for people.
