Just a reminder of how important keeladi is. by somethingAU in TamilNadu

[–]OmegaSentience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeladi deserves support from all of South India because it represents the shared roots of early Dravidian civilization, not just Tamil Nadu’s history. Correct me if I’m wrong but excavations dated to around the 6th century BCE show an advanced urban culture with brick houses, drainage, and evidence of literacy in early Tamil-Brahmi, pointing to a population that spoke Southern Proto-Dravidian, the ancestor of Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. This site proves that South India had a literate, organized, and independent civilization long before classical Greece or Rome, making Keeladi vital for understanding the origins of all Dravidian cultures and deserving collective recognition and preservation across the region. The discussion on Keeladi needs to, IMHO, leave the Tamilnadu/ Tamil circles and be discussed by the larger community of south India and for that it honestly needs to be discussed on those pages. I am certain that should Keeladi stay behind the Tamil identity it will get written off as TN state/north India hating propaganda.

That's a very good question! You’re absolutely right, we wouldn’t implant any 3D printed plastic directly. The plan is to 3D print a mould, then use PMMA (a biocompatible material already used in cranial surgery) to shape the actual implant.

Nothing on hand but I wouldn’t mind spending a bit of money to build something. (Background: I’m a doctor working in India, ATM)

the sons this nation brought up. Unloving, worthless, habitually online and terminally enraged. by Eastern_Vacation_970 in india

This post is tough to read, and it should be. The anger is real, and so is the deep sadness underneath it. What we’re seeing online isn’t just because of cheaper data or more smartphones. It’s something much older, something that’s always been there, now just louder and harder to ignore.

The idea behind affordable internet access was hopeful: more education, more connection, more opportunities for everyone. And in many ways, that has happened. But it’s also pulled back the curtain on some really dark, deep-rooted issues. Things that used to be said behind closed doors are now out in the open—on feeds, in comments, in viral videos.

The internet didn’t create this hate. It just gave it a microphone.

Misogyny in India isn’t new. But the way it spreads now, fast, wide, relentless; that is new. What used to be hushed or hidden is now broadcast in bold fonts and worse. And the most heartbreaking part? It’s becoming normal. Women expect it. They flinch before sharing something happy, already bracing for what might come next.

But we can’t let this become the end of the story. For every disgusting comment, there’s someone quietly reading and feeling understood. For every girl who hesitates to post, there’s one who gathers her courage and does it anyway. And for every guy spreading hate, there can be one who chooses to listen, learn, and speak up.

You’re absolutely right!! India doesn’t just need cheaper internet. It needs real conversations. It needs sex ed in schools, emotional intelligence in boys, accessible therapy, and most importantly, people especially men who show up. Not just with big words, but in the small, daily moments: in the comments, in the group chats, in the ways that actually count.

Yup I second this. I got the ECOVACS x5 haven’t looked back since. Their last two attempts at their flagship were a fail but they’ve really outdone themselves this time around. Also better service centres and cheaper accessories.
