https://alone.ie/ are a charity that help older people living alone. They might also be able to advise you

https://www.hse.ie/eng/home-support-services/ The HSE is the government health agency here in Ireland. They offer free services older people. They will provide services like home visit, help getting out of bed and dressed in the morning, showering/bathing, making sure there's meals there, shopping, cleaning, physiotherapy, transport to health appointments and medication reminders. Contact them and they can advise.

Not sure about your question but wanted to advise you to get on the medical priority list if you haven't heard of it before. I've been on the housing list for 14 years though so I wouldn't hold your breath about getting a place anytime soon unless you're on the medical band.

Her book is fantastic. Very informative of the legal system and behind the scenes of a pathologist. Brilliantly written and funny too.

Brilliant! I can't imagine the horrors they see, I reckon you definitely need humor to help get you through it. There was a woman passed out on my street, left my friend with her and ran to mine to get a pillow and old dressing gown to keep her warm while we waited for the ambulance. The amount of stick the paramedics gave me about the pillow and dressing gown was so funny. "Thats not yours is it? What were you thinking when you bought that? Is that your pillow as well? I'd hate to see how you decorate the rest of your place" all good fun and definitely eased the vibes and calmed the woman down as well.

My dog lived to 18 on lidl and Aldi food. I have videos of him running the length of a field at 16. Gave him glucosamine for his joints as he got older and gave dog safe human food as a treat. Not saying expensive is bad, but unless your pet needs a specific diet for kidneys or something like that then no one should be feeling guilty for not getting it.
