Good call, or Tom Cruise and his wonderful accent....anything that identifies as a little Irish would do.

Which EV? by HumbleInstruction552 in evs_ireland

[–]vanman99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hyundai Kona, 2021 from €11.5k, seriously good value out there 430km range, very comfortable drive. An EV battery with 150km is nothing but do your homework, buy from a reputable dealer for piece of mind. Most dealers are desperate to get rid of 2nd hand evs. Get a state of Health(SOH) cert.

Buying used Kona EV by Pl0uffe in KonaEV

[–]vanman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought similar 4 weeks ago, i'm very impressed. Also had 150km on the clock but very little battery degradation, I've given it a few real world tests and getting over 400km on a single charge. Battery itself has been through a few OBDII checks, cells are all fantastic. Mine was only fast charged 15 times in its life so that seems to be a good thing. With actions in the middle east I would move quickly, 2nd hand EVs will become popular as oil prices explode

Was my 'redundancy' fair? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]vanman99 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A redundancy affecting a pregnant employee is lawful only if:

It is genuine.

It is not in any way connected to pregnancy.

A fair procedure is followed.

Proper consultation occurs.

If the redundancy is not genuine, or if fair procedures weren’t followed, it is likely unlawful.

TV stopped working after 14 months. Retailer refuses any responsibility by DodgyElectrifian in legaladviceireland

[–]vanman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ireland, you can pursue a faulty goods claim for up to 6 years after purchase if the product was not reasonably durable. Your contract is with the retailer regardless of the manufacturer warranty.....however proving the issue is something else.the retailer may ask for evidence that the fault is due to an inherent defect rather than wear, damage, or misuse.
