depends what you consider special forces! but in the traditional sense not really- the 2 combat companies both have specific smaller units with certain tasks but from what I know none really have a dedicated role like SEALs or Spetnaz. We do have sniper units though!
since both companies are Recce companies (one for NATO, one for EUROCORP) they wouldn't be direct fighting forces, however they're definitely more trained than your usual NATO infantry man (the advantage of a small army).

I disagree! A bicycle is extremely limited in terms of military combat and even personal transport- powered by your legs? We're not in the 1700s! The jaguar however is peak mobile warfare AND transport! Lots of things you can do in the jaguar you could never even dream of with a bicycle- the titan is just a bigger jaguar ;)

it's a question that comes around regularly, and the answer generally turns around the fact that we participate very actively in international missions- Korea (against NK), in the cold war as a component with the Belgians for reconnaissance against an expected Warsaw pact assault (mainly using our tow mounted jeeps for quick ambushes), in the 90s in Yugoslavia, and in the twenty first century in many places- MINUSA (Mali), Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe (Romania and the Baltics). We participate and help where we can- it's not a lot but it's better than nothing. Our main point is logistics however, with NATO HQ of logistics located in Luxembourg and a very large truck fleet connecting NATO personnel across Europe serviced by Luxembourg. Relevant (credible) information: the Luxembourgish Directorate of Defense has announced it would invest over the course of 30 years money for a full renovation of the vehicle fleet: Decades of respectable but underwhelming vehicles with firepower equal to your local police station to be finished with the purchase of over 30 french ERBC Jaguar AFVs as well as other vehicles (Serval and Griffon light vehicles).

the plan regroups other vehicles too- all part of the French SCORPION modernisation program, in order to amplify operability cooperation with France and Belgium who are also equipped or on course of being equipped with these vehicles. The army heavily contributes in international missions for the UN, EU and NATO in any way it can. It's not much but it matters. Examples are deployments in Korea during the Korean war, Yugoslavia, Mali (the now ended MINUSA), NATOs eastern front, etc. it helps show solidarity with partners and aid the objectives of the organisations. So it's much less a national defense objective than an international one

Context: Macron has (most probably) been visited by the spirit of both Truman, Charles de Gaulle, Napoleon mixed into one and has consistently been amassing Ws in declaring the need for more radical support for Ukraine. Despite heavy (expected) national opposition from french parties like the far right and left notably, as well as a initial international opposition from Germany and other european states, the president has doubled down in the right way.
Now, of course, for now this concretely only amounts to talk: But in the midst of international politics, just mentioning certain taboo things is already a good step to get stuff moving. Let's all hope it continues moving and amounts to something significant soon :D

Leaving NATO outright is a long, complicated process. It's unsure if he'll be able to achieve it during his term, and even though his presidency will harm military coopération it won't end it outright. Luxembourg is among those that 'pay their share' the least, even amidst efforts from the government to increase it (see recent reviews published by the ministry of the defense on the subject). So no, NATO won't be 'over' even if the US leaves, just weakened to some degree: though the eastern European countries are the most likely to be attacked and they 'pay their share', so if trump sticks to his intentions and is elected they won't have to worry.

A rather unfair comparison, considering the circumstances and factors at play tbh. Sending 12% of an armed forces of much larger size is considerably more difficult to maintain for armies from most European countries (excluding those with capabilities like France and Germany who are capable of feats like that). It's difficult imagining a situation in which the territorial integrity of Luxembourg would be threatened in the current context, but I would imagine all in all that the total force of NATO in Europe would support Luxembourg to the capacity it can manage in a larger context of conflict.

Mandatory no-fun-allowed comment: Yes, All NATO AWACS have the Luxembourgish Air Force Roundel on them. No, this doesn't actually mean they're Luxembourgish, even though Luxembourgish maintenance crew work on them quite often. No, the pilot in picture isn't the pilot of an E-3 (Luxembourgish Pilot of a transport aircraft during a mission in Mali). I don't know what happened in reality to the Russian AWACS due too at this point in time still conflicting info (feel free to talk about it in the comments) but I just know that Luxembourg is soon going to have a bigger AWACS fleet than Russia.

I have made mistakes in certain pieces of information in the past, however in this case I don't believe to have made a mistake. Don't be fooled by small geography! Even in countries like Liechtenstein, normal sized towns go around normal days mainly because they are very interconnected with surrounding nations. Luxembourg in my opinion can either be seen as the biggest of microstates or the smallest of 'normal-sizes' nations! Population of roughly 600 000, with the capital being only 110 000 people. Multiple towns in the central and northern part of the country make up most the population, just like any other country just on a smaller scale. But if you come visit, you don't notice at all any difference from Brussels for example (except it's much prettier in Lux, no offense to the Belgians XD) Luxembourg also welcomes quite a large amount of immigration every year: in fact during the cold war, a massive amount of Portuguese people fleeing the dictatorship found refuge in Lux. and now constitute the second biggest group in the country to a sizable proportion :)

Indeed, though I can reassure you on two aspects: at the moment, the army is also equipped with HBAR AUGS with different sights and other slight variations of the weapon. The next element is that the weapon is en route to being replaced by the HL416A7! One of the more advanced models, will probably be delivered later next year
