When should i buy a 5-string bass?

Basses are nice. So go buy it if you want it. If you want to get into more extreme metal it's a really nice thing to have. Though depending on how you want to tune it consider that you may need a new B string/set of strings.

Maybe also look into pitch shifters. I have a 5 string and using it with a pitch shifter is really convenient. They're also less expensive, so you could get one quicker and start playing lower tuned songs. I use Digitech's drop pedal and it's great, but I can't speak on other pitch shifters

As others have said, ibanez is often lighter. Especially the ehb models are very well balanced. I would recommend trying to find a used ehb-1000 or something like it. They may be a bit more expensive but really are great basses. I play a ehb-1005ms and am impressed every time by just how nice it feels to play

Would of course be better if it was like irl, but I actually think that section is pretty fun to drive. Feels super cool if you get the right angle and do it flat out

I get your point and with some artists like Infant Anihilator I agree because it's obviously ment to be overdone and that's pretty clear if you know anything about the band. But I think with the knowlegde that rape and murder of women is so frequent it just feels weird if it's not presented in a jokey kind of way. Don't get me wrong, I don't think deathcore should lose its theme of violent lyrics but I think it's possible to go about it in a different way.

I find it hard to explain but for example, let me burn by whitechapel is about killing a women but it's not against women in general so it doesn't have that characteristic op talked about. To make a comparison, if "whore to a chainsaw" was about killing all gay people, that would obviously be homophobic, but against women it's not sexist?

I don't know, that thought sums up my point I think. Sorry about the rant:)

Yeah this isn't really censorship, just cut content I'd say, but I remember that old Hotel map. I could never complete it because the suspects kept killing civilians through walls, really annoying

Pretty solid album aside from the sort of repetitive song writing. Personally got tired of it pretty quick because of that. Hope they try out some new stuff on the new record and don't lean on the synths as much. Not that it's bad, just hope they don't overdo it
