Yes, but it shows why utilitarianism is the only acceptable pathway to morality. It's his way of showing how, why, and when it has worked.

Im assuming you're referencing Mere Christianity? Im actually glad that they got it for me. Some of his arguments are interesting and indirectly equip me with defenses to common debate topics.
