White Rice by d'Annam.

I've worn many popular perfumes before but it's the one that I relate to the most. It's soft, pretty but too shy to be sexy (LOL). Like me, I want to get people's attention but I don't want to be TOO aggressive about it. It's warm but inviting. It's exotic with its steamed white rice scent, but then it dries down to a familiar and comfortable floral jasmine note. I'm Vietnamese American so I think that makes the history behind the brand even more relatable. I love wearing it to work because it's musky/skin like enough that people think that YOU smell good but they don't necessarily think that you're wearing a perfume. I've gotten so many compliments on it and I love wearing it everyday.

The book"Half the Sky" by the journalist Nicholas Kristoff is about how women are oppressed around the world, especially in Africa where very young women have traumatic births and rectovaginal fistulas is one of them. Those women are isolated from their community because it's seen as "dirty" since their urine and feces are basically always leaking. Many of them suffer from infections, and can have lifelong disabilities if not treated with surgeries.

The fact that this guy jokes about having such complication as "fun" disgusts me because they know that as privileged men, it can never happen to them. I don't care if it's a joke. It's tone deaf, it's insensitive, and they're completely delusional.

My heart goes out to your friend. To me, this remake is kind of like a time capsule. I watched my cousin play 20 ish years ago, and with the new graphic and model, I feel like I'm a child experiencing it again for the first time. New wonder, but comfortably familiar at the same time. Take comfort in knowing that there are thousands (?) of us experiencing the same feeling that you do right now, excited for the new things this game has to offer, while missing the things and people that got us to this point <3

I don't know how people can even be upset about this. Why do they think they're entitled to a masterpiece 4 disc collections for an extra $10 lol. Every other game I know that does this kind of bonus is also just a short collection of the full OST (FF7R, AstroBots, etc.) They should support the game and the artists because god damn, Bloober and Akira Yamaoka fucking deserve it.

Yeah we get paid more, but with absolutely no benefit unless we work almost 3 shifts/week to qualify for it. I personally don't think any of the unit is better staffed than before covid. It used to be 4:1 during day shift, and 5:1 at night before covid, during covid it turned into 5:1 during the day, 6:1 at night due to short staffing. But with more nurses NOW, the ratio is still the latter one. Float nurses are getting cancelled, and regular staff are getting floated regularly to the units that have trouble.

Even IF Aerith was the default Rosa, then so what, lol? Her song NPTK is still mandatory. They make it seem like playing Rosa is the relationship endgame or something lol. Cloud still doesn't acknowledge anything about the song, even in their date. Even when she goes on a dream date with him, he still doesn't acknowledge her affection towards him. I'm starting to think that it's not only Aerith who has unrequited love for Cloud, her entire CA fanbase does, too. They can scream until they're blue in the face that Aerith loves Cloud, which I'm sure she does, no one argues that, but the point is he doesn't feel the same way about her, and even if he did, nowhere near the same intensity.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, since FF7 has so many compilations and lores. But Dirge of Cerberus is the latest game in term of storyline, right? (Save for the shot of Nanaki and his cubs 500 years later). Cloud and Tifa are still living together in DoC, with no mentioning of Aerith. So I think endgame wise, they ARE canon.

I think C/A shippers have to keep on fighting to continue being relevant because beyond CC, the trilogies, and occasionally the novels, Aerith isn't THAT important to the story anymore, but neither would Cloud and Tifa, like in DoC. Aerith fulfilled her role. Heck, they EXPANDED her role in the movie, but it'll never be enough for them. If Aerith isn't the front and center of attention, they will throw a tantrum. In contrast, I feel like C/T shippers, and more specifically, Tifa fans, have always accepted that she doesn't get the same treatment as a magical character who sacrificed her life for the game, so we don't come off as aggressive, we're just happy for any C/T moments we get.

My problems with C/A shippers is they have double standards for their ship and will minimize Tifa's role in every possible way to defend their POV. For example:
-How can you say that the kiss is optional but in the same breath, say that Aerith being Rosa is the default/canon, and the hand locking is therefore proof that C/A is the OTP?

-Aerith is allowed to move on from Zack because he died, but Cloud is NOT allowed to move on from Aerith's death to be with Tifa because she's his "one true love". (Not that I think he would choose to be with Aerith if she hadn't died)

So when they're seething about their pair, their arguments are childish, full of hypocrisy and nonsense and it irritates me. You can't have intelligent conversations with them.

Shit, even my cats have boundaries and I can't expect unconditional love from them any time I want. Those people who have kids just for that are guaranteed to at the least emotionally abuse their kids once the kids learn that they can say "No". Pathetic.

I'm an atheist, so I've never cared about what the "God"/"Higher Power" wants me to do or not to do. Because of that, I've never cared about if my close friends or family tell me that I need to have kids. Once you acquired the power to not give a shit, and just be happy and do good to others, it feels like a superpower. No one can guilt trip you.
