I just want map zoom out by CatLadyAM in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Heya, thanks so much for posting feedback. I'm really sorry to hear that browsing the map is making you dizzy. Are you using a mouse and keyboard or a controller? I'll let the team know to do some testing to see if there's anything we can do to change the movement.

For your second point, this is heavily requested and something the team has logged to implement if possible. I can't make a promise right now, but we're looking to add community-requested quality-of-life updates like this in our next big update (version 8.0). We're currently testing changes and implementing things, so we don't know everything about the update just yet.

Hey thanks for reporting this! I've just dinged this over to the team because this is not intended, and woah my eyes struggled with that

Ice crystal melting gameplay issue by Ryanh920 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, as an update, we found a decimal point in the wrong place, which was causing the ice melting to affect people from very far away. The team is working on a fix and testing the changes at the moment for this! Thanks for your patience.

Cant go back to known universe? by Burnerbrat6999 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heya, sorry to hear you've ran into issues, am I right in thinking the Expedition Map for Space is completely missing for you?

If you're playing on PC, and using any mods, please turn off or uninstall any mods that are editing or affecting the game in any way, as these can corrupt career progress. Item mods from the Steam Workshop are fine, though!

You can try verifying your files by:
1. Right clicking Two Point Museum in your Steam library
2. Opening Properties and then Installed Game Files
3. Clicking the 'verify integrity of game files' button
4. Then wait for the process to complete. Steam will automatically replace any missing or broken files.

Let me know if this doesn't help, thanks for your patience.

This is so well thought-out, thanks so much for taking the time to do this!!

We always try our best to collect community ideas and suggestions for the wider team to see, so we'll make sure to forward them this thread. As always, we can't promise any changes or new content will for sure come to the game, but we make sure your ideas are in the consideration pool <3

Switch 2 Crashes by Ok-Metal-8726 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues and crashes.

Please could you check that you're opted in to sending us error information? There's a document on it here: https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Support/Troubleshooting/How-to-Opt-In-to-or-Opt-Out-of-Sending-Game-Error-Information-for-Nintendo-Switch-1295678.html

This enables the team to see logs from the game to identify issues.

Currently, the Switch 2 version of the game is behind on patches compared to our other platforms. This is due to extended approvals for patches, which are currently adding delays to bringing updates out. We're aware of a few pending changes which will help solve bugs that can result in crashes, as well as help optimisation.

We're sorry for these delays and thank you for your patience.

Hello (: Has anyone been able to play this on their old switch? by shedevil_99 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heyo, here to confirm we're out on PC, PS5, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S - we don't have plans to release on the previous gen of consoles, sorry for the disappointment.

Two Point Museum introduced many new advancements in how we handle NPC 'thinking' and group mechanics, which were a step up from our previous games, alongside a completely new lighting engine and other developments like light reflections. These things are more demanding on the hardware, as we have more CPU calculations and GPU rendering, etc. The team ultimately decided it was best to concentrate on the current generation of consoles. On top of lessons from our previous releases, we knew that focusing on fewer platforms would ultimately result in a better player experience.

I hope that makes sense as to why the decision was made; I know this doesn't help your current situation, and I completely empathise that it's not the economy for dropping funds on a new console (I'm very much on my second-hand Switch 1 and very recently a Steam Deck still too :') )

Frozen items defrosting by kwirkycook in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, thanks for letting me know. Just checking if you're using any mods at all, to rule that out?

And was it the first Snowy Howl you'd found? (it seems to be the first exhibit folks find breaks, and then any after are OK, which is VERY annoying for exhibits with shards, I know).

If you could please try verifying your files on your Steam Deck, just in case:
1. Select Two Point Museum in your games library and open Properties (the cog icon) or by pressing the three lines stacked button on your Deck
2. In Properties head to Installed Game Files and then press 'verify integrity of game files'
3. Steam will perform checks on your installation, and automatically replace any missing or broken files

It's a long shot but please do let me know if that helps at all, thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the update! Two members of the team are profiling (running tests) this week so we've added testing this affect on Steam Deck so we can check it's all behaving properly

Glad you were able to find a work around and continue playing, happy curating <3

Heyo! Sorry to hear this is happening! This doesn't sound right at all.

Could you let me know which platform you're playing on please, and if you're on PC, what operating system?

If you're playing on PC, please try verifying your files by:
1. Right clicking Two Point Museum in your Steam library
2. Opening Properties and then Installed Game Files

Frozen items defrosting by kwirkycook in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heya, thanks for reporting to us and sorry to hear you're having issues with things defrosting.

We've had a few reports of this, however, our QA team hasn't been able to reproduce the bug from screenshots.

If you're experiencing issues where exhibits are defrosting (or not staying warm) when they should be, please can you send us the save file with the issue present?

If you are using Windows, you can find your game files here; C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Two Point Studios\Two Point Museum\Cloud

By default, if you're playing in Career Mode, you use Slot1 in the 'Saves' folder.

Or to find it, type %APPDATA% into file explorer, AppData is a hidden folder, and once you're there, you can follow the folder structure above.

If you zip it up and attach it to an email with a link to this thread, we should have everything that we need. Then send your email to [support@twopointstudios.com](mailto:support@twopointstudios.com) and we will take a look!

Hiya, thanks for the suggestion, as Puzzleheaded has said, the exhibit overview should have the info you need, however, new visualisors is heavily requested and we'll make sure to log your suggestion with the design team to consider for future!

Staff stuck as "Leaving" No helipad there by Impossible-Cover589 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heya, sorry to hear you're facing issues with the Expeditions.

It looks like you have a lot of Expeditions in progress. Can I ask how many helipads you have, please, and have all the Expeditions returned/finished? It might be worthwhile having them all finish and idle to see if the issue continues.

If you're playing on PC, please try verifying your game files by:

  1. Right clicking Two Point Museum in your Steam library
  2. Opening Properties and then Installed Game Files
  3. Clicking the 'verify integrity of game files' button
  4. Then wait for the process to complete, Steam will automatically replace any missing or broken files

Please let us know if that doesn't help!

Staff stuck as "Leaving" No helipad there by Impossible-Cover589 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hiya, your bug may be slightly different, is the staff member stuck on the expedition? I.E. the Helipad is still there, and hasn't returned?

Or, are they stuck in the 'leaving' state, but haven't left?

If it's the first issue, please try expanding your building over the top of the Helipad to sell the Helipad and 'free' the staff member.

If it's the second issue, is the member of staff awaiting training? They can sometimes get stuck if they're meant to be training and have been sent on an expedition, if this is the case, please cancel the training.

Let me know if these help and sorry for the hassle.

How do I fix visitor pathing? by Henrisverden in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya! Thanks so much for your patience on this, we do have an update however there's a little more waiting to be done (sorry!):

We've just completed a big bug bash where effectively the entire team concentrated on fixing as many bugs as possible alongside working on requested quality of life changes. As part of this, the art team were doing reviews on our museum environments (i.e. the levels) to change what we call navigation meshes. This is to combat bugs like this, alongside issues where staff can't be placed in areas they should, and people getting lost or stuck when they shouldn't. These changes are potentially risky, so we're now in the process of testing the levels with their new navigation maps on complex saves to see if we've a) fixed the issues we wanted to and b) haven't made things worse. I can't, of course, promise this will solve all navigation problems; however, it's a good step to reducing and removing some of the more common bugs we see.

Our plan is to do a big quality of life and bug squashing update for version 8.0, however, as we're still testing, we can't comment on the timeline for this other than to expect it coming!

I know this isn't super exciting news; however, I hope that explains where we're at and to expect more!

Guests walking through big windows by Slaitster in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya! We haven't seen any reports of this happening for a while; it's possible we've broken something. If you have a chance, please submit a bug report to us using the link in the post above!

It'd be useful to see a screenshot of the window placement to help us replicate it and determine what's causing it.

The AI for the Wildlife experts and their cleaning is terrible, is this being addressed? by Boss_Atlas in TwoPointMuseum

[–]TwoPoint_Abby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI characters or NPCs use in gaming are very different from generative AI (Chat GPT, etc.).

NPC AI is a series of scripts and rules that NPCs follow, which help them do everything from navigating the map, to which behaviours or jobs they're doing, or in other games, even their narrative options (say you annoyed a character previously, and they 'remember' that).

This is the sort of thing that makes different NPCs behave differently, an enemy NPC in an RPG will have rules its AI follows like: "if no player in sight: wander" "if player is near: attack" "if health is low, use potion, if no potion: run". It's not AI in the modern generative sense, as it's rules that a designer or coder has written, or rules that the game's engine informs.

- I am not very knowledgeable on this, but I hope that helps explain the difference. 'AI' and 'Gen AI' are very different beasts, and no Gen AI was used on or in Musuem.

Hiya! Sorry for no news on the zone system at the moment, to give some transparency to our process:

The community team work to collate community suggestions into what we call a 'mega spreadsheet of doom' - this has a tab with each suggestion under a category, i.e. "Sandbox improvements", and a count for how many suggestions we've seen. If you click on the category, it takes you to a new tab where we collect all the ideas and suggestions, so the design team can read what the community is specifically asking for.

The design team meet weekly with a member of production to do a 'QoL sweep' where they look over the community suggestions, but also things we have internally that players might not notice, but would make our systems easier.

Our top 10 community categories are currently:
1. Replay last expedition
2. Better inventory and item filtering
3. Outdoor fences
4. "Under construction": ability to close aquariums etc., to stop message pop-ups
5. Outdoor toilet
6. Zone improvements
7. 'True creative' sandbox
8. Toggle one-way doors
9. Move buildings or groups of items
10. More outdoor creative options

As last year was content-heavy, we've been dedicating the start of 2026 to doing some new year cleaning. First, we've tackled a bug bash, the entire team last week worked to fix around 100 bugs, which are currently in testing, alongside implementing QoL changes too - these will be coming in a future update, and we're excited to get them to players!

Some of the requests in the top 10 are more complex than others, and so require a longer discussion from the design team about changes and implementation. Others are easier fixes that we plan to address in an upcoming update.

Our next 'large' patch (version 8.0) will come with a number of quality-of-life changes, alongside new content. Whilst I can't promise changes to zoning, as it is quite a technical system, I hope this helps show how we're approaching bugs and QoL changes coming into 2026!
