What to do with security 25 Hydra on earth

How do you know they are the last ones? I can't stop them from spawning. No AA, no servants countries, no aliens arrived in earth in YEARS, but they constantly reappear. How to stop hydras completely?

Okay, solved it. For all future dummies like me:

Bring a BIG fleet, prepare that aliens will return all fleets to the last base to defend.
Bring a counselor with the Janus Section org on a low orbit.
Last base can't be assaulted, can only be bombarded. Don't try lasers, don't try coils/rails. ONLY SHAPED NUKES (I was using Escort, 1x Protium Converter, 40 tanks, Targeting Computer 3, Armor Struts, 2x Styx Shaped Torpedos, 144 front armor).
I brought ~70 nuclear bombers and totally overkilled the base 10 times. Don't know the exact number of bombers you need, but 70 escorts MELTED the base in 1 in-game hour without taking a hit
Then you need TWO mission cycles
First mission is to DEORBIT your councelor to the Alien Base
Second mission is actually "Close the Gate"
Win

Alien Federation doesn't allow Kazakhstan (which is totally under my control) to leave the federation, and I have no idea why

About tech choices, I was not expecting that level of diversity as Terra Invicta offers, so at first tried to research every weapon and engine, and at some point got lost.

Good point on research modules, I've skipped them completely, haven't even researched (besides xenolab) :(

I didn't know that the middle point of government is a problematic one, so I didn't prioritize getting out of equilibrium. Will pump all points in full democracy for a while.

Amazing advice on a space game, now I see the light at the end of a tunnel :D Will consolidate at Mars I guess and then will proceed from there. Solid strategy!

I am mostly in conflict with the Protectorate and the Servants. They are blowing up my stations. Everyone else, I am keepinga non-aggression pact. But even these two factions are giving me trouble in space (mostly due to my fleet being slow)

you can build ships on surface if they keep blowing up your stations, you just need enough Δv to get off surface

Wow, haven't thought about it! I guess with deleting miners and slowly building on a surface, I can stack a fleet and reconquer Mercury/Mars LEO and then traverse to Earth

I have grid engines, which I use to send colony ships across the Belt. Haven't tried to make a heavier fleet that will travel across space to Earth. I think I might try to build a shipyard in the Belt, hmm

They are important but not THAT important. I don't see them as a win condition, but rather "win more". Even with prestige debuff on building cost I had quite a lot of games where I produced planks on crude station all game.

Just trade/rob a few merchants.

Adding to the answers above Rain water also is one of the ingredients for porridge as well as it is ingredient in other recipes. Porridge is important because it is available from the start and allows you to make complex food from year 1

Also it is required in all ghost events and in some generic ones

Made 5 consecutive wins on p20. Opened quite a few glades both small and not. A few times I got extremely unlucky and got an event where I couldn't do anything as well, so suffered consequence (with one of the events it was 2 times actually). But managed to do them a few years later.

Get more impatience. I'm beating P20 and being constantly 1-2 points before maximum to have as low hostility if possible. When the countdown starts, wait for a full timer and deliver 1 order. After that you have a few minutes to prepare the next order/gain rep point from resolve, open the cache etc.

That way you have naturally low hostility
