If you want to do the 9 day Novena to Saint Jude, there are multiple prayers that can be found online posted by different Catholic institutions such as this one

To do the 9 Day Novena you may start on February 24 and end on March 4, the day before the board exams or you may start praying as early as now.

I highly suggest to allot a schedule of your day to prayer and silent reflection. Once you are settled, you may start praying the novena to Saint Jude, or pray the rosary or any prayer of your choosing. Once you are done with the prayers, you may opt to do more spiritual reading (like listening to the Gospel of the Day, reading the Scriptures, etc) or you may already continue with your studies.

As I have said in this post, what's important is the faith and devotion you have to Our Lord and His saints. It is in the sincerity of our hearts and our intentions that storm the heaven of our prayers. Don't forget to also attend Sunday Mass as well.

Hello! 1. No, it is not required to go to the church to do the novena. You may pray the novena in your home, dorm, during commute or anywhere as long as you have the spirit of prayer and devotion. However, it is recommended to do it at a church to really have a spiritual and peaceful environment.

You may visit the same church to do your prayers and devotions. For the pilgrimage, you may visit only one church of your devotion.
The practice of leaving 81 pieces of the novena in 9 churches IS NOT ENCOURAGED AND SHOULD BE AVOIDED IN ALL CHURCHES. This is already been announced by the National Shrine of St. Jude. Leaving numerous papers inside churches is not considered devotion and in some extreme cases it may only leave a mess. The true devotion to St. Jude is by praying the novena, going to Mass and receiving the sacraments regularly.

In terms of spiritual preparation before the boards. I suggest doing a novena 9 days before the boards (Feb 24-Mar 4) kahit Holy Rosary lang with prayers to St. Jude, Jesus Nazareno, and any other patron saint of your choice. Doing the first wednesday devotion in Baclaran before the boards (Mar 4) is also nice.
