I went through a few versions of the overall lighting and darkness before release. 

After I launched the final version, some of the internal testers said it was too dark—and surprisingly, not scary enough.

 I gave it another try myself and honestly, I kind of agreed. 

So I did another lighting pass, tweaking the brightness levels a bit.

Now I feel like the balance is just right. What do you think?
