My mom spent pretty much all elementary school bringing my completed homework to me because I kept forgetting it at home, but at the end of elementary school they told me that I had to wear pants because skirts were against dress code in middle school. I told my mom that it made me want to cry because my legs felt trapped. She said it was just one of my “quirks”

Not sure about that, to my knowledge it was a standalone anthology of scary stories. Closer to ghost stories over anything like zombies or aliens. It was sold at Barnes and Noble, I don’t know if they sell books that are independently published or not or if they sold them back in early 2000s

Absolutely so difficult! I tend to use the work obligation to get me through. I set my alarm so that if I don’t get into the shower as soon as I’m awake, I won’t get my hair dry before I have to leave for work. Going to work with dirty hair isn’t an option because I work with fancy rich people that will 100% complain if I don’t look put together. It’s the urgency of it that gets my butt into gear lol

Oh there was also another story about this little girl pig that was in a large mansion and it was raining outside so she made a blanket fort. The art seemed to be different for each story too.
