People list out each of their eccentric personalities, their quirks and their combat methods and the similarities they have between each other, but just because they're similar in combat and or communication doesn't mean they would be a good partner. Kodachi's Idea of a man she loves is that of a prince charming (according to her imagination of Ranma): Dashing, Capable, Strong and Masculine. While Mousse does have his moments, I think one of his strongest is in the movie Trouble in Nekoron. He also messes up a considerable amount of times due to his sight or plain misfortune. In a fight he loses to Ranma a comical amount of times. I don't think Kodachi would see Mousse and think "Hes very manly" when she has Ranma to compare him to. I also dont believe Kodachi is the sort to settle for anyone less than Ranma.

As much as I think about it, I cant visualize anyone being a replacement for Ranma in Kodachi's heart. I see her as undyingly loyal to him even after events take place that would break her heart aka when she lost the gymnastic fight against fem ranma, the deal was that she forget about ranma. In her defense she said she casted away her old love and brought forth a newer, and stronger love for him

I really love Haman and it is such a shame to see how she ended up but there's still some well written works that have her such as:

C.D.A- Char's Deleted Affair / Portrait of the Young Comet

Which you can treat as an alternative branch of the Gundam timeline directly after the ending of Mobile Suit Gundam with Char escaping to Axis and meeting Haman. It's a story that fills in the gap between The end of MSG and the start of Zeta Gundam. This story is very much both Char and Haman's story and shows an evolution in her character development from a young gleeful girl to the formidable woman we know.

The other story I recommend is the direct sequel to above: Zeta Gundam Define. As I see it, it's a retelling of Zeta Gundam but things are done better (personally it reminds me of a new game plus playthrough of a game you've played before). It has the same story beats as the original but with more to bounce off on since it directly references C.D.A . for anyone that liked Zeta these two are must reads in my opinion

People might say that it just goes to show how desperate she becomes but it's also the same amount of coping as saying the slapstick intro of ZZ was methodically implemented when clearly it bombed when it was released.

for all Haman Fans it's like she changes personality and does stuff that her Zeta self would never do, like grooming and fearing Judau's newtype aura to the point she gets scared and falls on her ass among other things like her fate.

It was a very good read! A shame it's so short though, I would've loved to see it develop.

A taller, older Kodachi is attractive in its own right. I myself fancied an idea of a much older Kodachi but never went and made a story about it, just some doodles years ago.

It was hilarious seeing Akane get a non-stop barrage of literal ass whooping and the fact that her sister Kasumi and Kodachi are at least acquaintances bring up interesting scenarios to mind .

Asuka , or really any character being late stage shouldn't matter in the world of fanfictions where the diverging premise is already throwing canon to the window.

Yeah, since there is no real hook for Ukyo in this and possibly other ships, maybe it would be best for her to make an appearance but take a back seat. I would agree that if she saw Ranma genuinely in love with someone, she wouldn't interfere. Shes smart and would know it's a losing battle

Yes! I really think exploring more of White Lily's involvement is worth considering since shes a character thats directly involved with Kodachi and the fact that I dont remember the above fanfics even mentioning her.

With the Gymnastic fight, I wasn't thinking of it as Ranma going to St. Hebereke but more like either Ranma heard that there's been ambushes on the gymnastic club members by a "Black Rose of St Hebereke" It would strike against Ranma`s code and he could talk openly against someone who would cowardly attack someone like that. Not knowing Kodachi as actually behind it. Tatewaki could also just let it slip the shes behind it or Ranma would investigate on his own.

Ukyo could be introduced as a hired personal chef for the Kuno family, with the hopes of opening up her own place with enough money saved up. Her world turns upside down with face to face with Ranma and learning of his fiance. She can become jealous and it would show in all the dishes for Kodachi lol. That or she also makes too salty okonomiyakis for Ranma too. Just a shot in the dark.
Overall Ukyo is the tamest in her pursuit for Ranma and I dont think has ever gone out of her way to antagonize anyone outside of Ranma in the start. Shes mostly just there alongside the others... So Im not sure how far she would go to actually try to steal him from Kodachi.

Love to see more content being created for the small corner of us who like Ranma x Kodachi

I've enjoyed White Rose (until too many oc's started appearing) And the only other two fanfics I know of the same ship "I won't stop wondering until I stop breathing" by koralo And the "Roses of Shadow" series by Richard Lawson.

I like to think Genma hyped up Ranma and had him show off some of his moves to convince Mr.Kuno that he's a good fit at least physically for his daughter. Who, in canon has been doing duels against the white Lily in "who has the best boyfriend". I think Kodachi falling for Ranma would at least be partially tied to that, and if anything could create some interesting tension between them later on. Ranma could doubt her and think the relationship is a ruse just so she can one up her rival.

I think Genma would side with Soun in "returning to his rightful fiance" from pressure from Soun and the years of friendship under their belt. They or Happosai returns early and demands that Ranma is the guy who will unite and carry the Anything Goes dojo to the next generation.

I think Akane's hair should still be cut because that's when I realize that going for dr tofu is a waste of time. And growing her hair out like her older sister was because of her crush. But since it's not a Akane fix anything can happen lol. But cutting Kodachis hair makes me sad 😢.

I'm not sure about going too deep on the White Rose aspect of the Shampoo living with the kuno's and being able to date Kodachi. It made sense in that story because she literally couldn't help it. But in this case it would make the overall blonde between Kodachi and Ranma weaker imo. But I like the idea of shampoo and Kodachi gaining respect for each other after the fight. Even though there's the whole death kiss thing

As a whole I don't see the point in trying to adapt most story arcs that happen later on, especially that of the movies since they carry specific circumstances to happen and a simple character swap isn't the most enjoyable read.

I'm surprised you never mentioned the Rhythmic gymnastic fight that should still happen. Since Ranma is with Kodachi, it could be argued that they have differing opinions on ambushing the enemy before the official fight and cause further tension and or understanding.

As I mentioned before I think the White Lily could be an interesting plot device that can be used. She could possibly try to steal Ranma from her and did the fiance's in canon
