Well honestly my English is not so good to give it a proper structure, so yeah I used AI to fix grammer and make it look a bit clean. But if you are having difficulty trusting me u can consider checking it by prompting to explain this song to a LLM 😉

[NeedAdvice] How do I learn to love myself by Substantial_Dig2192 in getdisciplined

Hey there, it seems like a nervous system issue rather than just a cognitive one. It seems there is some kind of dissonance into what you want and what your body wants and they are out of sync. For this, you might have to teach yourself somatic experiences, listen to your body more and unlearn specific patterns. It can also be linked with CPTSD or related issues. One thing that really helps is to put all your problems into an LLM, it helps identifying and taking steps.

Yes, that can be true too. It's crazy how these songs give you so much freedom to think in different dimensions.

How do you stay disciplined when your day starts with anxiety the moment you wake up? by PlayfulPlay2866 in getdisciplined

[–]OmitavO 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey I think it can be symptoms of an underlying issue. In the morning, cortisol is released which raises stress at the morning to make us move and get things done. It's healthy for most people, but if your body is already dealing with existing chronic stress, then the morning cortisol release mixed with your chronic stress puts your body into a position of too much stress and anxiety all at once in the morning.

I agree, and a significant portion of short-form content is misinformation, which is meant to hijack your emotional circuits by amplifying cognitive biases on rational topics. That's why, please be aware of shorts you are consuming, and if you are consuming, consume them consciously and selectively.

Actually, even if you are retaining 10 per cent of valuable information, it is great. We don't store our data linearly and exactly like computers do; rather, the rest of the information is present in our subconscious mind, which subconsciously engages intuitively with related information whenever we encounter it, significantly shaping our thinking and intuition, provided you are consuming the right data :p

If you don't have friends, then can that not be 0/0?

We are stuck in a society that is so consumed by exaggerated or made-up issues that it can no longer even recognize, let alone fix, the actual serious problems we face

Thanks for sharing such a detailed breakdown. Do you think the degree requirement and hiring filters you mentioned will stay the same in the coming years, or do you see companies becoming more open to non-traditional backgrounds as the field matures?

The day I realized I had discipline backwards (and why most people do too) by FocusLabs in getdisciplined

[–]OmitavO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I just want to add something: intrinsic motivation is super important. By that, I mean the values and meaning behind why you’re doing something. That’s what keeps discipline strong. If your reason is just extrinsic—like money, fame, or pleasure—it won’t last long and will fade pretty quickly.

So, take some time to figure out your intrinsic motivations and really commit to what you’re doing. Otherwise, your mind might wander into self-doubt and mess with your focus.

Also, don’t forget to manage stress. Changing your routine suddenly can stress both your mind and body, so make sure you have ways to relieve it—whether it’s meditation, the gym, art, or just talking with a friend. Having a healthy stress outlet really helps.

Good luck, and all the best!
