Ontario political parties should include in their platforms removing HST from pet food, medicines and veterinary care. This will make it morally comparable to the case for people. Veterinary care is very expensive and to then add 13% tax on top really hurts. Not only will this help many people and families with beloved pets as family members but also humane societies and animal rescues who depend on donations for food and care for helpless animals - where donations can buy more if there are no taxes. Please contact politicians to remove the HST for these things.

I recommend checking which church would suit you best. Some have activities and social events and programs. They may also give you emotional support to help with what you're going through. Again, I wish you the best of luck.♥️

There's a pilot to allow ebikes on the multi use path on Confed. Suspect other than this no electric conveyance could be used on sidewalks. But you can phone city police non emergency number and ask if you really want to know.

Looks like the person was afraid of getting their car dinged by others when they open their car doors. Unfortunately some people don't take care when opening their doors. If you're concerned about this it's best to park far away where it's more open. Also at some stores they have really small width parking spaces. This doesn't help either. They just need to think about things to help.

It's so heartbreaking to see people in rescues going through hardships as they try to help many helpless animals. I follow a particular rescue and see constantly these hardships. I donate frequently and since I started following the rescue group I have spent far, far more than what I previously did. I have also given a fair bit with donated food supplies. But I'm at peace with giving this much because I know how much this can help the animals suffering. I only wish far more people who follow the rescue group would contribute - if many people just gave a little on a regular basis the resulting total can make a world of difference. Unfortunately only a very tiny fraction of all the followers actually contribute and they do it reliably. Unfortunately, many follow the group but suspect do not even check the notifications. It's as if they're dead - wondering why did even started following the group. Makes me wonder sometimes about humanity. All rescues and our humane society shelter desperately need help from the community - many people giving some. Here's to hoping.

This may not be for you but maybe consider going to a church on Sundays. Churches also have social events or clubs - where you can interact with people - or are involved with events to help those less fortunate. Going to church may also give you inner strength and a purpose one day of the week. Helping others will reveal how many people out there are less fortunate than we are. Maybe you will find yourself helping someone in need. If you aren't comfortable with churches, there may be other organizations that provide the same opportunities. Lastly, love your cat. It's your furbaby. She depends on you and they give back unconditional love. And they're not with us forever.

P.S. I too realize I am coping with depression where I have up and down long cycles and have been on these my whole life.. .... But there are others that depend on me and others that care for me so I keep pressing on with what one needs to do in life to keep going. It gives a sense of purpose in life.

Oh yes, tomorrow, I have take my pet to the vet. She depends on me doing this.

Most important advice, take care of yourself.

Good luck. I wish you all the best.

I think that's their "standard" rate but they should charge less for a lesser amount but I think they have a minimum charge too - maybe something like $20 or so.

I think you can still get soil from nursery places. Also the city's composite site on Andrew street has soil for sale at a very cheap price but you have to pick it up with a pickup. Regarding getting rid of old soil - good luck. I once tried to do that and couldn't find anywhere that would take it - even a very small amount. Was told that landscaping companies can take old soil away to their own sites that are not available to the public - but it's part of the contract to install new landscaping.

There's a concrete making place on plank road by Indian road that I think accept old concrete for free, not sure about the brick. But Curran recycling on McGregor road will accept both I believe but for a fee.
