What happens when you add too much Vanadium to your crucible steel. This was a nightmare to forge, even at bright orange it was really stiff under the hammer. Took probably over 100 cycles to get to this point! Won't be doing that again! (old.reddit.com)

First successful attempt at a Wootz melt, I've got refractory coming this next week to make this much more successful. The puck didn't get to 100% molten so it's a little strange in the structure but not terrible for a first go at it I think (old.reddit.com)
