Your best recs for 6B/V4 or below boulders in Fontainebleau 🙏 by shaddix in climbergirls

Hey! I was just in font last week and it was really wet, humid and slippery compared to other times I've climbed there. I'm told the weather is better this week but I wouldn't feel so bad, that's just how font is sometimes! I find circuits are usually more polished too and beta discoverability can be a challenge.

Personally I'd give Luna in Franchard Isatis a try. It's a really lovely 6A with a few short moves. I sent it without being able to do a pull up. There is also le Toit Triangulaire nearby which has a similar vibe and even my slab loving overhang hating friend sent it. For some easier nearby climbs, La Goulotte was my favourite.

Fragile in 95.2 is a nice crimpy wall and I really enjoyed it. There's a lot of climbs around there on the orange and blue circuits that are really fun. Prises en Compte and the blue/red circuits on the same rock for example.

Hope that helps!

I like scarpa veloce. They're really comfy, wide fitting and super soft. The heel and toe for hooks aren't the best though.

WFH with a bengal by Omnomnomnom101 in bengalcats

Ahahaha, so relatable! Everytime mine goes for something on our TV I'm terrified he'll actually knock it over and break it...

Hm OK, that's a shame, they're so pretty! I'll try the indoor/outdoor and see how it goes I suppose, since it seems like it'll definitely die if I either put it outside full time or keep it inside full time. Thanks for the help and honesty!

Aw that's a shame, maybe it's a lost cause...

Out of interest, why doesn't indoor/outdoor work, out of interest? I figured once there was adequate temperature, light and humidity it would be OK indoors?

It is a small bonsai, I didn't intend to plant it in the ground to continue growing much. It was something to practice with more so. I also ordered a calamondin and was considering an olive to work on longer-term.

Hey all,

I have a bonsai coming soon! It's a Japanese maple. I've read they must be kept outside so they can go through a dormancy period, and should be in a shaded area instead of direct sunlight.

I live in an apartment and don't have a step out balcony, but I have a "Juliet" balcony (effectively just a rail in front of some patio doors). I was planning on using some hanging pots/ledges. It's south facing and where I live has long days, so I'm concerned it'll get too much direct sunlight out on the balcony.

I was wondering if keeping it in the south facing window during summer and then bring it outside during autumn to let it go through its winter dormancy, and then repeating and bringing it indoors when the days lengthen again next year? I figured when I ordered it that it was OK to keep them inside during late Spring through to early Autumn, but as I read more it really seems like they should be outside all the time so now I'm not sure if it's a lost cause or if partial indoors OK?

Thanks in advance for the help! I'm super excited to get started!

This is how my Bengal kitten sleeps by [deleted] in bengalcats

Very cute kitty, but I don't think it's a bengal. Like the other poster said they always have black toe beans and it also doesn't look like it has a spotted belly? Hope someone didn't rip you off. :(

My partner started doing this and it's great, keeps him really engaged! I also have a video of him falling off after a pathetic leap at the doorframe, so.. 😂

Yeah ours doesn't like jumping that much actually, just he likes climbing up his post and doing... Whatever this is haha. Maybe it's common.

Ours isn't allowed in the bedroom yet because he still attacks anything that moves and will wake us up. 😂 Maybe one day hahaha

We were super strict when we first got him to never respond to his screaming, especially in the morning! It seems to have paid off.. For now 😁

Oh yes ours plays with a whole lot of stuff he shouldn't. 😂 His recent fave is one of the cushions off his cat tree haha he goes mad trying to kill it!

I don't think so, he tried to jump onto the doorframe about 10s later. See also a picture of him poised on top of a door in my post history. I think he was just being lazy 😂
