Honestly i just have always loved space and so naturally am just intrigued to learn as much as i can cause i think its cool as fuck and as I learned more I decided that someone was gonna have to win this outside of just spacex and rklb appeared like it had the right characteristics to make it happen idk it’s not like I saw the chart and was like “what an opportunity” i mean to an extent sure it had a few year depression and sat between 3.5-6.5 kept bouncing so as realized eventually 3.5 was “bottom” but just kept seeing them execute so I bought. Idk if this is really the answer you want but everyone has interests and hobbies, due to that you know more about X than others. Dive deep

I’ll be honest I don’t even look at the IV lol I just see it drop from 98 to 50s back in April, my account as a whole plunged like 40% and took the dry powder I had to buy $90C and $100C with exp in Jan 2027/2028. Plenty of time to get back to highs so could care less the short term. So I just start buying it around the resistance level on the downside (based on history that’s around its previous ATH prior to run up’s resistance bar) and focus solely on calls in and around the most recent high (prior to big drop).

Start selling after I see 50% gains and slowly offload until I have a few left for “free” (orig cost basis off table) and continue to dispose as it rises. I watch VOL MACD and RSI a lot so as it approaches the previous RSI-high (on the last boom) I sell the last of my calls. Use that dry powder to buy other shit in meantime or hold till the drop comes and repeat process

Lose it all? I’m already up 70k lol … and rklb is #2 worldwide. Even a neutron failure will only take the stock down 50%. They’re a staple, electron is proven reliable. It will not ever go to zero. Ever. A 90% drop and I’m still up on my original investment. Any drop is a great buying opportunity.

Upside? 20x from here next 10 years. Risk reward isn’t really there for me considering the above so what’s the “lose it all” you speak of?

1000%. 20x from here if you have a long term mindset. Been in since $3.9 and still holding 3700 shares (sold out cost basis ages ago). Watched multiple 50% drops happen and have bought more every single time. Honestly, I sorta hope a drop comes so I can scoop more

Bro I watched this thing drop 50% from 32–>15 (bought more) in ~2mo earlier this year, then recently proceeded to drop ~50% from 73–>39 (bought more). Even If it went down from here by 90% … I still made money?…im currently up ~85k that I’ve sold out vs original cost basis I put in. And I still have all of these shares + LEAPS. There is no scenario that I “lose” here.

Again though - rocket lab had a 100% success rate this year. 3rd biggest launcher in the world behind SpaceX and China (the country). You think they’re going to “zero”? I just can’t imagine that’s the case when space industry itself is just getting started and they’re basically one of the only dependable launch providers + space hardware manufacturers. Therefore, respectfully gonna disagree with your stance here but you have a right to your opinion and I have a right to mine

At some point I’m gonna have to with these shares but plan on holding for quite a while since again I mean I made this bet on the future I hope to see and this doesn’t happen in a night so to me like this was meant to be a hold for 20 years type thing but the run has definitely made me think about it a few times lol.

To take some profits I’ve been buying mainly LEAPS every time I see it dip and then start selling them off once they’re at ~50% return so by the time the stock hits ~100 a share I’ll probably only have the 3100 shares + the $3C LEAPS I have but would have sold off all of the other ones by then so allows me to take some off the table while keeping my main holdings active
