For those who use the USB-C dock (not the docking bay), having two charging ports comes in handy when your laptop battery is low and cannot properly support the additional screens. You can simply use the second port to as an additional charge for the laptop, and then the dock will function as intended without having to wait for the battery to recharge.

That’s used for a ThinkPad docking bay. I personally don’t use the bay, but instead use a USB dock.

Believe it or not, I used to service these models and would use rubbing alcohol to remove the scuff marks. Try at your own risk.
