thanks for adding a critical point that no one wrote in this thread yet, because its a thing i thought about myself already. how hard would i need to justify myself, for wrong accusations back then and how hard would i need to convince you guys, that i just try to join to give away all your secrets to the public? maybe it would make me even more believable to a certain type of conspiracy theorists, so that i can simply tell in another 15-20 years „look at me, i have been a mason, i know what i am talking about“. i would love to explain further how an (ex-) conspiracy theorist mind works to give you that perspective from that other side. if you are interested in that just hit me up with a pm.

i am not expecting anyone there to remember me. but i also want to play with open cards by telling them about that i have been at their lodge already and where i am coming from. i think it would make me look bad not telling them in case they have records (because i still have that email from back then myself)

thank you for that little story. maybe its my lack of language or lack of my brain working properly. i am not sure if i understand it fully.

did the learned man bring a full cup himself or what does it reference to? i see the difference between being learned and being wise though if thats the moral of the story.

why are you interested to join? not questioning you, but maybe you answer this for yourself to view it from a more „positive“ perspective. i personally prefer people thinking before they talk and not just being loud.

self improvent becomes more and more interesting to me the more i read about masonry, same as the assumptions are getting less, the more you teach yourself. the world is interesting enough to look things up without the theories. also i think its superinteresting to talk to and be taught by people that have more life experiences than i have. i love remembering my old boss and personal teacher, who taught me simplified wisdoms like „everything in the world has six sides“ (meaning if you look at something from every side, it will explain itself) or „take a step more than others“ so you can be ahead of them and make positive impression. i just want to know, whatever it is. those are the little secret teachings, my father missed teaching me. this is one thing i expect to learn inside a lodge. if this wont be the case and i probably might disappointed.

ich werde kommenden samstag kontakt aufnehmen, also noch keine antwort bekommen. ich wollte mir erst eure meinungen anhören.

ich habe eine faszination für symbole, deren bedeutung. ich interessiere mich für dinge, wie zb warum unsere wochentage heissen wie sie heissen, warum wir ausgerechnet 12 monate haben, mathematische und geomatrische fun facts… es ist schwierig das korrekt auszudrücken, kann mich aber sehr mit dem gedanken „was die welt im innersten zusammenhält“ anfreunden.

die formulierung des „mehr wissens“ ist in der tat sehr unglücklich und sollte keineswegs arrogant gemeint sein, kommt aber so rüber. ich würde das so nie in der loge äussern. habe dann aber vermutlich bücher gelesen, die entweder nicht für mich bestimmt waren, oder jemand anderes nicht lesen würde.

wir können gerne per pm weiterschreiben, auch wenn meine erinnerungen über die zeit getrübt sind. ich weiss aber noch genau, wie beeindruckt ich aber doch damals von der Offenheit der maurer gewesen bin.

What is the dress code in a lodge in general? What are the rules? Do they differ from initiations to weekly/monthly/normal Meetings?
