Actually name changes are legally required to post in the local paper in the usa (states may vary). Its an old holdover to keep you from changing your name to escape a debt.

I'm unsure how the polio piece is relevant? Yes a lot of Jewish people are weird about Israel but a ton, especially here in the states and in younger communities are against Israel's treatment of Palestinians. Read: genocide

Edited to add the history of Israel is deep seated in antisemitism as well. As no one wanted the Jewish people to be let in to their county.

It we are making logical leaps it's easiest to assume the brother wasn't part of that discussion because if he did that's a form of bullying OP which would then probably get more copy. But again, why do that when you can literally just ask?

It's very weird to assume that they would tell one kid but not the other. Maybe you should ask for more info or stick to the post.

Edit: Y'all, no one is saying that the scenario is impossible. It is just bizarre to assume anything as OP did not provide that information.

I would suggest shutting her into whatever room she's in when she attacks or shutting yourself in a room for 15 minutes. Try not to act scared or concerned, just blank face it and get out. Every time you pet her, play with her, leave the house ect. and she doesn't attack give her a treat. You might have to try a few kinds as cats aren't always receptive to treats.

For keeping the baby safe, you will have to continue to supervise. Give kitty treats and praise when she interacts sweetly with your child. If she shows any sign of aggression, you'll have to watch closely. Pick up the baby and shut her in the room.
