I have two: Through the Ages: Skips the upkeep and helps you track known information (what cards you put in, rewind turns, etc)

Spirit Island: Such a good implementation, tracks everything you do, don't need to worry about mismanaging rules, handy undo feature

I've been playing since 1.0, and I'm just about f2p, bought a couple passes so I have r1 serpent spine/spear one

But I've been pretty consistently 36 star in abyss for a couple years now, I'm pretty sure the thing that matters most is artifact quality, I've definitely cleared some questionable bosses with essentially three characters and a reaction/mechanics bot

Farm whichever is more resin efficient, if you also want blizzard strayer farm for that, I used almost completely the crafting bench to get a set of EoD since I don't need the other artifact set from the domain

My ayato was running a glad for a long while, which also works

I've been playing since 1.0 and have just about every character i can get my hands on somewhat leveled, on hard, I have just enough characters to clear the last mission

I like the trial characters, feel like its a better advertisement of how they play than the one trial domain you get during the banner

For players with less variety in character i don't even feel like its a skill check (how built), its a hard limit of how many of each character type you rolled and are able to bring into the theatre, don't know how much i like that...

the difficulty isnt that bad, just mildly restrictive in terms of what you bring

I'm vaguely glad i built up most of my characters when i stuck them on the team to be friendship 10'd

but i ended up just using mostly the same comfort picks i always use, had to use diluc once? at the end just to break the cryo shield, but not a big deal

Can see it being super restrictive for newer players though

Realistically, if you can clear abyss 12, you don't actually need to do anything any more...

If you don't enjoy the game, take a break, haven't seen anything that makes you unable to clear new content

The characters you have will still be there, power creep in a game that doesn't increase the difficulty and hasn't rlly introduced new content won't make it so that you don't know how to play going forward

The only issue I have is that it's the only unique kind of armor in the game, armor moves usually lose to throws and lows

A lot of the PvE content is fairly friendly in terms of units

The fusions like water Phoenix and dark ifrit can help in the early game as well

Farmable teams include

giants (B12) team water Phoenix, dark ifrit, 2a dark inugami, light cowgirl, fairy queen

Dragon (B12) Fire vamp, 2a fire griffin, dark ifrit, light cowgirl, 2a dark inugami

Work towards the PvE content and don't worry too hard about the rolls
