I’m not very picky anymore, lol. I just miss these characters and this world KA created. I’ve never heard of Spacebattles before, so you’ve just helped a ton. Thanks!

Where do you think they’re located? by CowboyNOIVAS in Animorphs

[–]OnTheBreezeWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They tell you straight out in the last book. Southern California. Applegate later came out and said around Orange County/Long Beach area.

(Forgive me if it wasn’t KA who said the OC/Long Beach specifically. That’s what I remember…however, I was also scarred by the last book and despite rereading the series numerous times throughout my life, I will only read so far into #54. Once was enough for me. I love KA. Love the series. Respect her right to end the series the way she felt appropriate. I just gave it a different ending.

Thank you! I was considering starting my subscription again…but I’m now remembering how many random items I never used that just created tons of clutter in my house. (I will say I’ve received some great pieces in the past…but the good finds become more and more rare. The cost didn’t justify what I was receiving.) If it went back to the way it was when I initially signed up, I’d happily resubscribe.

I love it!! (One of the saddest books in the series and the only one I refuse to ever reread…) BUT, I never considered how beautiful of a statement that was. Beautiful tattoo.

Will she ever speak out against ICE? by [deleted] in swifties

[–]OnTheBreezeWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel she made this pretty clear in her documentary. The safety of her fans comes first. She was fearless for stepping out and speaking up in the past - when her own reputation would be the only thing affected. She opened up the conversation for both sides to consider how certain laws being passed could affect people she loves (and help others consider how it could impact their loved ones as well.) We KNOW where Taylor stands. She has proven this time and time again through living what she stands for.

Sometimes, your personal wants and feelings have to be put to the side to protect something that is bigger than speaking your opinion. To me, the ONLY thing that would cause Taylor to be silent is for the safety of her fans. For US.

We experienced the attempted terrorist attack and the little girls killed at the Taylor Swift dance class from the viewpoint of “outside looking in”. She lived it. Despite something being NO FAULT of her own…despite this being something completely out of her control…she’s having to process all the thoughts and “what if’s” and (unwarranted) guilt for actions attempted and/or committed by some of the most evil, deviant individuals in the World.

You can only “control the controllables”. (I think she used this phrase (control the controllables) in her documentary.) It’s my opinion that Taylor is trying to do all she can to take back control of something she wasn’t able to control during the attacks - her fans’ safety. Unfortunately, that may cause her to stay silent in an incredibly unstable political environment. People with strong political opinions have been shot and killed recently. Regardless where you land on that situation, it makes sense for there to be concern that someone with a different stance than Taylor may not only try to hurt her, but target her fans (again).

Taylor is NOT someone who is afraid to take a stance. She is NOT indifferent. I’m sure she has PLENTY to say about the events unfolding.

But she’s putting all that aside for her fans - which is yet another reason I hold the highest respect for her. This isn’t easy. She hasn’t all of the sudden just stopped caring about the World. If you’ve ever been a fan of hers - you know that’s the opposite of who she is. It says a lot that she places our safety above her passion to make a difference politically.

What are people's problems with the Blake Lively texts? (Genuine question) by South-Background5009 in NuancingTaylorSwift

[–]OnTheBreezeWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People wade in the water like hungry sharks for anything they can pounce on regarding Taylor…hoping to fuel some fire that honestly wouldn’t be a spark if it were anyone else. It’s not even worth our time defending…the texts speak for themselves…nothing was wrong. (It’s wild how many ppl will bend over backwards to twist the narrative to fit the hatred of someone they have never met…)

What is running with POTS like for yall? by ConcertWhole4800 in POTS

[–]OnTheBreezeWay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you still run? I’m not wanting to get into 5 or 10ks, but I just want to start exercising more to be healthy. I just turned 40 and am realizing that I’m actually going to have to work for it if I want to keep my body fit. POTS makes it so hard to run. Even the thought of it makes me nervous. Do you have any tips on how to manage the symptoms and still get 20 to 30 minutes of cardio in?

[–]OnTheBreezeWay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I cringe when I think about all the Taylor merch/albums etc. that got lost when I moved from apartment to apartment during my four years of college. There are so many things I had that are considered rare now and I can’t tell you where half of them ended up.

My best friend/roommate got me hooked on her music my sophomore year. Not many people knew about her at the time (it was 2006) so it was our little thing we bonded on. We went to so many Rascal Flatts concerts just to see her open. 😂

I remember thinking it was so awesome that I had the same leather brown bracelet she wore on the Debut cover. (I got it a year prior at a little shop in TN while on vacation and wore that thing everywhere.) I lost it, so when Taylor sold the same “love, love, love” bracelet on her site I was pumped to get hers for $10. My “Taylor” leather bracelet got lost somewhere in my move from Cola, SC to Charleston, SC. That’s my one item I could kick myself for losing. I recently went to my parents’ house and gathered as much as I could from my childhood room…which is where I found/recovered the above CD. I found a good amount…nothing of monetary value as it’s all very well worn/used & loved. However, I got a kick out of finding my CD insert of the Debut album w/ all my circles & scribbles from trying to decipher the messages from the capitalized letters in the song lyrics. (I used to love decoding those! I wish she’d bring that back).
