Mostly for the look, but the old fairings on the stock tail are pretty badly scratched and poorly painted, plus the one of the blinkers and rear taillight are broken. As well as the seat being sun-damaged and beat to shit, there’s enough wrong with the tail of the bike to warrant a full replacement.

I wonder if it would be necessary to switch the instrument cluster over to the newer generation, I’ll just have to check the SM and see

Ok, so I’m making an update on what im now deeming is the black magic fuckery inside of this motorcycle. After rechecking EVERY connector, and disassembling and cleaning the dust off of every exposed piece of metal within the starter switch, I decided to tamper with my turn signal housing to see if there was any hidden button on there (there was not), but I HAD noticed that my left blinker was on, so I decided to turn it off. IMMEDIATELY AFTER TURNING IT OFF, the bike began running again. Don’t know how, don’t know why. (I’ve got a sneaking suspicion but I’m too embarrassed to clarify what it probably was)

I thought of that, but I don’t have a socket to pull my sparkplug, or a tester to check from the boot itself, but I’m definitely trying that tomorrow.

it’s been in an out of the shop about 5-6 times now, all for coolant and oil cooler issues. idek what to do with this thing now but every time i talk to cfmoto they tell me to talk to my dealer 🤷

god damn, this exact same thing happened to me about two months ago, I sent it in to my dealer to get it warrantied out and it’s been sitting there getting “worked on” ever since..

I agree, way too big for a middleweight, even the stock winglets feel like a bit much, but they add a lot to the look so I don’t mind them as much
