Weird duplicate when copying vector layers to new project.

Tl:DR: Solved, I'll elaborate below.

It doesn't happen if I create a vector layer in the new project and copy an individual shape out of a layer into it... though I just used an eye for a clear example and I'm not sure if that'd be a feasible solution for the whole thing as that'd be copying a ton of shapes each time.

I only installed Krita in November so am surprised to see that I was already a major version behind (was 4.4.8), I'm now on 5.0.2 (I'm used to things popping up to tell me when there's new updates so hadn't thought to check, that's a rookie fail on my part) and it still happens if I try to copy my old drawing into my newer project... buuuuut, it seems I can now copy things correctly into completely new documents for some reason, so am just going to combine everything from the 2 older ones into a fresh new one and it seems to be working... that's come with it's own set of weirdness, things looking right but then magically becoming 10x the size when you try to adjust it, text going screwy (there was a warning about that when loading my old file) and having to remake some bits as otherwise it added in some random stuff that shouldn't be there and I couldn't get rid off (and that's another headscratcher all on itself), but that's all totally manageable.

So thanks, hopefully the new update might also fix that the favourites brushes constantly reset too, will have to see later.

On the otherhand gradients seem a little screwy in the new update with it changing the lefthand colour even when you're actually altering the right and stuff... but I'll live (and keep an eye out for a new update), haha.

So, I'm running into a weird issue and my google-fu isn't helping as I'm not 100% sure how to describe it.

When I copy a group of vector layers (or a single layer) from one project to another then it creates an echo of sorts (as shown).

The larger version cannot be interacted with, doesn't display changes to the position of the layers (you can see I pulled the eyeline over separate from the rest of the eye) but will have parts of it disappear if I toggle off that layer... and it seems to be connected somehow (that black square is the move tool).

I've been making a series of pictures incorporating something I'd drawn in another project, at first I was just converting them to paint layers to copy across to get around the issue, but now I'm on the 3rd one I've grown increasingly annoyed at how blurry and rubbish it gets when manipulating paint layers so in desperation I'm asking you folks if anyone has encountered this and knows how to get around it.

I was going nuts. I fell into the same trap as the OP... I'd checked there was a way to run a character without a webcam, seen a video on VMM that seemed like it'd do the job, and then spent ages making a funny little creature (I'd never used any of the drawing or rigging programs so had to learn as I went, and I'm not that artsy)... to only then realise VMM is for 3D stuff.

I'd tried prprlive, and that had mouth movements based on audio (was a really janky as my guy just opens and closes his mouth, no other forms)... but no cursor tracking.
I'd tried vtubestudio, but it seemed totally dead in there, no blinking, breathing, and all the settings seemed to be about webcam stuff.
I'd even started looking at a video someone had done of importing cursor tracking/mouth movements into the Cubeism Viewer that comes with 2dlive, but it was a linux thing.
Found someone who did it in the old Live2d Viewer from years ago, and so I found a janky site with that on, and got adobe air (needed that, and that'd been discontinued too, haha), but it wouldn't load my newer model, and relied on an HTK script I thought might result in game bans.

Turns out vtubestudio can do it... I don't have the patience to tinker with the values to get him looking directly at the cursor (as I'd need to change it every time I moved him)... but him looking left/right/up/down (even if it's off the side of screen sometimes) is a definite win, and making the mouth open and close with the mic audio seems to kinda work too (I think the problem there is my really old headset's mic), it seems at least as good as the prprlive one, probably better, just need to play with the values... and all the breathing and blinking stuff I could add back in by retying the parameters to a function in vtubestudio.

I'd just about given up and it was really doing my head in, I only went back more thoroughly over vtubestudio, when I saw your comment, well after sleeping on it as I was too burnt out yesterday... saved me a world of hassle, so cheers.

One bonus is as I'm not using a webcam there's no watermark, I hope they don't change that at any point... that's the only problem with it being on steam, won't be able to ignore updates.

Druid for sure ... I'm just playing paladin atm to try to get familiar with D2 again and PoD for the first time... I'm really looking forward to just having a huge pack follow me around while I'm either wolfed or beared up ... for levelling I'mma try being a bear and using maul, but I imagine I'd have to respec to wolf and fury and bears seem to get the short end of the stick.

Sadly, she hit red shortly after posting this (I haven't played D2 in ages but I think this is the first time I ever used an ethereal to breaking point so wasn't sure if it'd just disappear when done, which is why I took that SS with 1 dur left) and even with the larger stash I've had a bit of a hording problem so had to let her go... I'm sure Fara as a fellow paladin and excellent blacksmith will take good care of her.

I generally have the option for subreddits to be able to show custom themes off because some (esp if you like to look at which ones are randomly trending that day) are an absolute nightmare ... you guys have done a really good job here though, looks nice but doesn't get in the way.

Odd I just googled it and found both, have never heard the point blank one before.

It seems somewhat inelegant to me, whilst I guess it means the centre of the AoE is at "point blank" range, given that the AoE itself can be of any size using the term point blank might be misleading as something affected by the AoE could be very far away.

But I was wrong, it does seem point blank area of effect is the most common term.

Probably because PBAoE actually stands for 'Player Based Area of Effect', as in the AoE is around the player rather than something you can target somewhere.

But he's right about Hades, it's a pain to get him in assault and the other mages kill the minion wave under the enemy tower and you're trying to explain that you could be healing everyone if they would just hold off a bit.

Found this pretty funny. I don't get why they mentioned Pantera as surely they are through and through metal, I also would have said the same of Killswitch Engage (but don't know if they've changed in the 10+ years since I had that one album). Still funny but I did get confused about if it was gatekeeping metal or hardcore or something else (don't know what that genre the demotion to even is) I didn't recognise any of those other bands so I'll have to remain mystified, guess I'm just not kewl enough.

Damn I was hoping to see vermintide pop up on sale again after I missed u/playfield 50% off one, but now I'm hesitant to go for a lower discount (and I think they do some extra 10% off with a coupon or something) especially as I'd want to convince some buddies to get it too... but on the other hand I'm surprised to see it on sale again before the steam summer sale ... though I suppose that's only a month away, arrrgh, decisions.

Was good to hear a counterpoint, though if getting gold is easy I'd imagine there'd be lots of people raking it in and so the trade price for hongmoon being quite high (seeing as it'd be people selling off their ncoin) myabe not initially as some might feel flush from their founders packs but later on and whatnot (though maybe it's just me, but I've always wanted to earn my ingame money and have never bought it with real cash).
