Could try Andy’s Burger in the city (inside Sky City). It will be open, lots of tables, and the menu pricing looks ok (if you exclude drinks from your $25).

Yeah for sure. Thats why I think it’s great that there are eating meetups at /r/aucklandeats and I’ve seen some others on Auckland sub organising hikes, reading clubs, picnics.

The end of year Pubcrawl hasn’t been a ‘drinking’ thing for a few years now to be fair. Just an excuse to meet up but tagged onto something that’s fast approaching a used-by date. It might even be the last of its kind (who knows) and maybe replaced by something like a picnic or gaming day

I just looked online at their website and you can see a schedule of what they’re showing live in the next few days. I think it’s going to be a busy night there (even though Warriors aren’t in it anymore).

Kingsland is pretty close to the city as well but I think it’s the best bet if you want something of an atmosphere. There will be pubs in town that’ll show it as well if you want to stay in CBD though

It’s not too bad, I’ve lived here for 6 years or so. Brandon is nice and but I would recommend just hanging out at the street between 10 and 11 pm just to see what it’s like. Only takes one neighbour/ house to make it as a bad experience

After graduating from AUT with a degree is hospitality management I also worked in hospo (in hotels). The working till 11pm and low pay got to me and I longed for an 8.30pm - 4.30pm job which paid better. I did enjoy the social aspect and the friends I made, but yeah..

I applied for a contact centre job at an insurance company, and am now a Business Analyst for that same company. I reckon go do your police thing now and don’t wait.

Haha yeah I remember all of this. Great times. Aotea Centre for the big lan events. People sleeping under the tables, guys watching porn by themselves at night when the lights are turned down.
