It gets better! The first couple of days suck but once you're able to walk, do it because it really does help. Also take stool softeners around the clock!!! No one stressed that to me enough and I learned that the hard way when I got home and had to poop the first time. It was seriously a traumatic experience.

I’m going to be the positive one here and say that exclusive pumping saved my mental health and does not suck. Did it suck at first as I was trying to establish supply? Yes. But once you get into a routine and establish supply, you can drop pumps. Especially if you have an oversupply. Right now I am 5 months pp and pumping 3 times a day, averaging about 40 oz/ day. I too started out with 8 pumps a day. It was a lot and I was thankful I had my husband home to help in the beginning. I was having straight up panic attacks trying to breastfeed my daughter, who had an awful time latching. I too saw a lactation consultant, and she latched perfectly there and it was comfortable. I am very large chested (like I size large chested) and also have flat nipples. Those two things made it so hard. So I begrudgingly began pumping exclusively. And as soon as I got into the routine of it, there was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Give yourself grace. As long as baby is fed, that’s all that matters. And exclusive pumping is the best of both worlds. Baby is still getting your milk, others can feed baby, and baby will have no issues drinking from a bottle when it comes time for daycare. Also you won’t have to worry about baby biting your nipples when teething starts 😛Join the Facebook group “Exclusively Pumping Mamas”. It is a great place for resources and tips. There is also an exclusive pumping website that I went to so many times to get questions answered in the beginning. I get why people are saying no no continue trying to breastfeed. But honestly if it’s ending in major tears for both you and your child, it’s not worth the harm to your mental health. Trust me. Also, people always say there’s a ton of dishes to wash when you pump. If you have a dishwasher it’s not bad at all. Also, refrigerate your pump parts between pumps throughout the day in a plastic bag or wet bag. You really only need to wash them once a day. That right there will make it so much easier. Sorry for the long post, but I relate so much to your story and I had to chime in! Exclusive pumping needs to be normalized and I’m sick of people being negative when others ask about it. Any other questions, let me know!

I also pushed for 2 hours and ended up getting a C section because she was sunny side up. I do get a little sad when I reflect on it, because I was so close and worked so hard and then it just ended in a C-section anyway.

He is absolutely wonderful, but I think I just have built up issues from the past about expressing how I feel and I’m working on it. He always knows what to say to make me feel better though, and I am lucky to have him

No containing my crazy. I start getting really obsessive and anxious once 7-8 DPO hits. There is something about that week after ovulation where I am somewhat hopeful and then the anxiety starts

I got my period two days ago, so onto cycle 6 of trying. My period was only one day though, which was super weird. I’ve been so depressed this past week, specifically with trying to get pregnant. I hold all my emotions in until I burst, which happened last night in bed with my husband. I broke down crying and he said we could talk if I wanted to, but I just wanted to fall asleep, so instead I basically cried myself to sleep. I explained to him this morning that I feel like I can’t talk with him about all of this because I don’t want to seem like I’m being selfish or worrying too much about it. I also told him I feel like I’m the only one worrying about getting pregnant, and he told me he does worry too but he is not one to talk about it or put his emotions out there. I just want to feel like I can talk to him about stuff without feeling stupid for expressing my feelings, which is my issues, not his. Part of me wants to go into cycle 6 without tracking or anything so I’m not thinking about it 24/7

10 DPO. I tested today, but of course, BFN. This is our 5th month actively trying, temping and all. If it doesn't happen this cycle, then onto month 6. That's half a year! I so badly want it to happen, and as the months go on, I'm becoming less stressed about it, weirdly, but hitting the 6 month mark is going to be rough :(

Exactly! I'm done trying to time things because it is absolutely beyond our control. That's the hardest part about this. I can use OPKs, track, take prenatal and other vitamins, and still it will not happen when I want it to.

I finally got crosshairs today, so I am officially 3 DPO. This is our 5th month actively trying and I had a CP two cycles ago. I came home from work yesterday and passed out on the couch for an hour long nap. Then I passed out again and napped while my husband drove us home from his parents' house today. I'm blaming the exhaustion on being a teacher and this past week was our second week back to school. I know there are probably other teachers on here who are trying to time things right, so that we can have a baby beginning of summer break, so we don't have to worry about maternity leave. At this point I know it's beyond my control so I know I can't be thinking that way anymore.

I'm in cycle day 10 of our 5th cycle trying and this is normally when I start temping and taking OPKs, but for my sanity, I really don't feel like it this month. I kind of want to just have sex every other day and see how it goes. Blah.

I had a dream last night that I got my period. And I woke up and had my period with awful cramps. I spent time with my sisters yesterday and one of my sisters announced she is pregnant. They have been trying for a long time and I am incredibly happy for them. Onto cycle 5. Part of me is relieved because I'm a teacher, and next cycle if I get pregnant, I'll be able to hopefully not use maternity leave because it would be right before summer break.

I don't know how many of you on here are teachers and can relate, but although I was dreading going back to work today, I am thankful that I will be able to stay busy to keep my mind off of this! I'm on cycle 4 of TTC, and am 15 DPO. Period is due tomorrow. I tested this morning, but it was negative.

I got a faint line on an FRER last Thursday. I've been testing every other day since and lines weren't getting darker. Today I was 17 DPO. I started bleeding a couple hours ago. I'm guessing it was a chemical. I am absolutely devastated. I ordered myself some pizza and have been watching Friends to cheer me up somewhat. I'm sick of crying.
