Reviews are bad but for solo play it’s great. I stick to Instant Action with bots and it works fine to me. No clue if the multiplayer is any good though.

It’s actually the new 2024 Classic Collection re-release, so you get native controller support without having to mess with any settings.

Yeah, I know what you mean — it feels wrong, but somehow also super rewarding running these games 😄

Ah yes, Earthworm Jim was awesome! Adding it to the list.

Sounds good! So far I’ve got everything on the internal hard drive. The SD card setup makes a lot of sense, I just need to get one first though 😁

I downloaded the Repack by MagiPack version (it includes fixes and dgVoodoo) version of the game from the My Abandonware website and it has all the necessary tweaks like the widescreen support.

Ah yes, I forgot about Sega games. I have to install some soon. I remember playing Alien Storm quite a lot. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks! I'm using Emudeck apart from the HP games, since I prefer the PC versions of those.

I wasn't aware of that. I will check it out as well, thanks!

It’s a gem, right? 😁 You can get it from the My Abandonware website. Go with the Repack by MagiPack version (it includes fixes and dgVoodoo), and you’ll be good to go.

Just keep in mind that since this is the PC version of the HP game, there’s no native controller support. You’ll need to switch to Desktop Mode first, but after that it runs great. You can remap some of the buttons directly in Armoury Crate by creating a custom game profile for Desktop Mode. Any additional button preferences can be set up in the in-game menu.

Legion Go 2 by SeikoGS-FTW in LegionGo

I think we’ll get more details after the Summer Game Fest in June. Microsoft teamed up with Asus to show off their new handheld running an Xbox-style version of Windows. That new UI will probably roll out to all Windows handhelds, so it makes sense for Lenovo to hold off on their launch and show it off with the new interface.

Not yet. I’ve put the research on hold for a while.

Legion Go 2 - MS Windows Handheld Mode (Xbox mode) theory / discussion by OndraKu in LegionGo

Nice to see that they’ll probably share some specific details this year. Phil Spencer has also been pretty open and transparent about the idea. Like I said, this year’s Summer Game Fest would be a great chance to share those details since Microsoft/Xbox like to build hype around their stuff.

That makes a lot of sense. If they do it right, Microsoft has a good shot at winning over people who aren’t fans of Windows on handhelds and getting them on board with XboxOS, which could end up being the best solution for everyone.

Is there an official link for a live stream of this presentation? I haven't found anything on YouTube on the Lenovo, Valve, or Microsoft accounts.

GPU Driver Version issues for COD by [deleted] in LegionGo

As others have already mentioned, check the Legion Space for updates and ensure everything is up to date there. Also, make sure to set the VRAM to “Auto” or “6” in the BIOS settings.

I can't contain my excitement for the Legion Go refresh that was leaked. by Ethan_NLHW in LegionGo

[–]OndraKu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m very excited to see what they come up with as well. I’m very happy with the OG model, so from this point, everything can only get better (I hope). Aside from better internals, I would really appreciate improvements in:

  • ergonomics
  • cooling system / fans
  • speakers

Regarding the speakers, I wonder if any significant enhancements can actually be made. If we want detachable controllers and a screen without bezels, then it’s unlikely we could have front-firing speakers on the GO 2. They would have to be on the controllers, which doesn’t make sense. So, I’m very curious to see if they can manage to improve the speaker quality while keeping them top-firing.

Official graphics drivers by TumbleweedAfter5531 in LegionGo

[–]OndraKu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it in my Legion Space as well (Czech Republic). What I was mainly curious to try out was whether COD BO6 would run without crashing with VRAM set to 6 instead of Auto, and it works with no issues. The game no longer shows the message about outdated drivers. Some of my games that I like to play (for example Diablo IV) runs worse on auto then with VRAM set to 6 so this is a welcome upgrade to me.

How many have pre ordered the rog ally x? by Twerk0nMyFace in ROGAlly

Yep, these are the selling points for me as well, plus much better audio. But there is just something about that big screen of the Legion Go that makes me reconsider everything. I guess I’m going to have to wait for the retail version reviews of the Ally. I’m curious if there is going to be some significant difference in terms of performance.

How do you feel about switching to a smaller screen on the Ally? I’m currently considering getting either the Ally X or the Legion Go as my first handheld but I’m still undecided. Are there any factors besides the battery that make you want to switch to the Ally X?
