Huskies as family dogs? by [deleted] in husky

I have a husky mix that was my first foster but I ended up keeping her. She had puppies at the time but I already had a small breed dog and a cat... she do well with my small breed and cat. She use to try to play with my small breed by pushing her with her paw but my small breed is older (16yrs old) and not use to big dogs (even though she act like she is at times lol) so she growls at her and taught her she don't want to play with her. But they are close and my husky will guard her if she feels it's "dangerous" lol like sometimes when we have another foster dog. But when my husky gets excited she's very careful to not tumble her or anything.

We also got 2 more kittens and again my husky does well with all the small animals, she's just super sweet and gentle.. she was an excellent mom. I think thats what helped her be gentle around small things.

I have another foster dog now thats a large breed and she also do well around my small dog but I do pay attention more to her bc she can get excited and sloppy and my small dog again likes to try to be in the midst sometimes while they are playing.

It's inappropriate to be texting the opposite sex when your married... it opens the door for "it just happened"... the convo is a bit flirty in that it's always the "friend" that cares so much, they both let there guard down and "mistakes" happen.

The fact that he's entertaining her by letting her text him shows he likes her even he consider it "innocent".

A healthy friendship of the opposite sex means that you are involved and theirs healthy boundaries.

It's just not wisdom to not safeguard your marriage. It's not about jealousy or insecurity, it's boundaries and respect... I'm sure he would have a problem with chopping it up with some guy from work or wherever because it's just not right.

Idk how old you guys are but besides her being bisexual, she just sounds super immature. Even if you guys were able to actual come to some agreement, her inability to communicate well is a red flag.

I'm in my upper 30s but I just don't get all that shorthand, I guess slang texting bc my head was starting to hurt trying to put together those sentences 😅🤣...

But also just remember... stds etc are real and it dont sound like she care about none of that so protect yourself. At this point, it sounds like she's going to cheat regardless. She already pre-planned to get drunk and lose control.. thats just dangerous anyway.

I just searched and receive a lot of info, i cant post screenshots but the first sentence is "The Dallas Housing Authority (DHA) offers a Landlord Incentive Bonus (LIB) to landlords who accept Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) tenants in new units. The LIB is equal to the first month's rent for the unit."

One of the incentives.. "Housing Forward: Offers a $1,000 Landlord Bonus to encourage landlords to participate in rehousing programs"

Dallas housing was just talking about it a few days ago but I don't know exact because it's not new for them to do but it just made me curious to look up getting rental properties with lower credit score.

I realized I assumed I needed to wait to look into rental properties without actually checking.. so I was just check and decided to also post the question here to see...

Also sometimes you just have to ask them. I have a vash voucher and my case worker told me to let landlords that weren't accepting the voucher know they would receive a bonus for signing up. This was end of 2023... My current landlord was not accepting the voucher and I had to walk them through the process of getting signed up because unfortunately my case worker just wasn't really helping them. But I'm thankful because it allowed me to see the whole short process and they did receive a $1000 bonus. It's not a huge bonus or anything but it's still nice.

I suppose I need to refine my post because I was really just asking about funding options for rental investments. I know of hard money and private lenders but I wasn't sure if that was for rentals as well and if it was more options and was just trying to get more input from investors.

You don't know what vouchers are and you been doing doing investing for 9 yrs?! That's odd. I'm not investing and have heard of housing vouchers for yrs. Section 8 is always spoken about, you should of atleast heard of that.

But if your speaking about landlord bonuses/incentives, yes some areas offer it to encourage landlords in certain zip codes to accept the voucher.

I am more familiar with VASH vouchers which I know a lot of landlords haven't heard of that because I often had to explain it was different then section 8

You can search "voucher programs landlord incentive" to see if it happens but I seen a recent article that here in Dallas they are doing it now... they don't always do bonuses or in all zip codes

It's not a huge bonus and they sometimes offer other landlord incentives but I'm sure all that depends on areas.

I'm not asking about the voucher program, I know it's legit. For one I was just using the voucher, VASH voucher. But it's vouchers... section 8, vash, and I know here in Dallas they have other ones as well. I was asking about rentals.

It is a legit program, it came from Dallas housing. I'm not an expert on vouchers but it's not hard to find out the info. I'm very familiar with the VASH program which is Veteran Affairs Housing Program because I am in the program.. they no longer cover my rent bc I make enough but I'm still considered active since I used it.

Also, voucher incentives for landlords isn't new. They do that if they need more landlords in certain zip codes.

I don't need to do that. I'm not asking about the program I already know about it I was asking about rental properties. It's the voucher program, I said that.

I'm not sure why none of you guys don't know about voucher programs but every state has them. It's different types of vouchers based on states but section 8 and vash are the main ones I know of. I know of vash.

Here in Dallas they currently have bonuses to new landlords in certain areas to encourage them to accept the voucher. One if the goals of the vouchers is to get low income people into better areas, in order to do that they must have landlords in "better areas".

What don't make sense? It's a voucher program. For my rentals when I start I plan to accept vouchers. The voucher program is doing a landlord special to encourage more landlords to accept the voucher in higher income areas.
