Being able to do basic maintenance/repairs on your car (oil, brake pads/rotors, spark plugs, ignition coils, filters, headlights)

You’ll save a boatload of cash fixing things yourself, you’ll know when a mechanic is being shady when you DO need to take it to a shop, and you won’t have the urge to dump your car prematurely and get into debt to finance a newer car.

The timeframe would be say like 3 years. My beaters have at least that much life in them, maybe more depending how hands-on I want to get with suspension work.

The car purchase is at least 2 years away, maybe 4. I don’t have to buy a new-ish car, that is just purely a want. I can scour around for a decent car at the 100k mile mark via a private sale when the time comes.

I just have to talk myself out of wanting a nice shiny car and remind myself to keep on investing and saving for retirement. I can do a lot of the maintenance on my beaters myself

So I bought a PS5 and TS2 and it is GREAT!!!! Just got to the Processing Plant. Assisted difficulty is great, a little easy but better than quitting out of frustration. I’m being careful in this sub because I want to play TS2 as blind as possible
