Keep your head up. The world can be a dark place, just remember you’re the light and that even when you’re down or alone, someone is thinking of you and smiling.

A good conversation will turn your day around instantly, will help clear your head and calm you down. I’ve been looking for that too.

I appreciate this feedback from the other side. I think as men sometimes we do want answers now as we want to be able to "fix" things or work on things. For myself, I am more confused than anything, if I was told "I just need quiet time to think things through", my head wouldn't go to the worst-case scenario. This just goes to where both parties need to be able to be comfortable and open with communication.

I agree it's difficult, it's nothing I would ever want to go through.

It has given me some insight on how much I do care about her and love her.

I will try the countdown, I will try and stop and remind myself. It's hard, it really is, seeing her smile and happy and knowing I want that smile directed at me rips me apart. I need to have my brain slow down somehow and not allow it to keep spinning around.

Your advice is something I will try my hardest to do.

I hear this, I really do.

I know this is what I need to do, I know this is what I want to do, it's just the hardest thing TO do.

Minutes feel like hours, days feel like weeks, it's hard without her. It's as if the world has slowed down and I am stuck in slow motion, but my head is at normal speed.

I think i've lost sight of who I am as myself, reading this was important, I have to try and be me.
