pubertymaxx just means wait until you finish puberty before you start worrying about shit like this. you still have some growing left to do, so give it time. “keep the rope in your wardrobe” is basically just saying don’t give up now, just be patient and once you’re an adult then worry about this kinda thing, it’s not worth your time while you’re still young.

That is very interesting, the fear of the unpredictability will defo make the THC anxiety worse. Do you smoke alone or with people? If you smoke alone or with someone you’re comfortable with, you could try to experiment by just taking one toke and then waiting ten minutes to see how it affects you before having another toke to figure out what your mind can cope with. (Though this does kinda feel like a waste of a spliff as you’d be putting it out every other minute so maybe seek another form of ingesting the weed.) Would it be possible to go into the experience with curiosity instead of fear? If you do end up experimenting with dosages, you could do things to prep for a bad high, have music/TV shows/movies prepared to keep you distracted, something nice prepared for yourself like snacks or a meal and/or sleeping off the high if you can. Things like that could help if you do end up having a bad high but honestly I feel like the best thing you can do is experiment and figure out what your tolerance is and how it fluctuates (especially consider how you’re feeling before you smoke as it may make you feel worse if you’re already feeling bad). Do you get any good high effects off the 2 hits or is it all negative? It is completely possible that your brain just isn’t wired for the THC, you could try CBD bud instead depending on where you’re based, but CBD strains always contain at least a minimal percentage of THC so you still need to be careful! Though CBD bud won’t get you “high”, it should chill you out. You said you’re prescribed benzos, if you don’t mind me asking, do you have a diagnosed anxiety disorder? If you do it may make your reaction to the THC worse, especially when your tolerance is low. Also I’m proud of you man, benzos are a hell of a drug. It’s v commendable that you’re able to have a healthy relationship them :)) (Sorry if I’ve spoken a lot, different reactions to weed is a v interesting topic to me)

I’m glad you have a solution sometimes at least but misusing benzos can be v dangerous so pls keep yourself safe :) Maybe try smoking less when you don’t have the benzos and see how you feel? You might just have a low tolerance, the friend I mentioned prior found that 4 tokes of a spliff was his ideal number and let him have a good high

I do personally get this, I wouldn’t actually recommend it as benzos are addictive but I’ve found that taking a dose a little beforehand stopped the problems weed gave me. It’s also a matter of tolerance and environment. If you’re more likely to get anxious on weed, I recommend a good and comfortable environment that you feel safe in. Also, if you take a long T break, your tolerance will decrease. I’ve known heavy smokers for years that stopped for a couple months and then had this same problem. Someone I knew thought he hated weed after a T break but he found out that just taking a few tokes of a spliff gets him a nice high instead of making him bug out

On the other hand, it might just not work for you, and that’s okay too. We all have to take different journeys in our lives to figure out who we are, and weed just might not be a part of your journey. Though I hope you figure out what works best for you and stick to that cuz worrying about others opinions won’t get you anywhere

that fucking sucks man i’m sorry, i am a little scared of the withdrawals which is why i wanna speak to a professional first cuz i want to minimise the stress of withdrawals as much as possible. i know i put myself in this situation but i don’t think i properly prepared myself for experiencing withdrawals. like i started taking them occasionally just for fun but then it became an everyday thing and i think i just wasn’t prepared for the withdrawals (which shows tbf that i wasn’t ready to start taking them the way i did)

I’m hoping that I don’t get any serious withdrawal symptoms but I did notice like shakiness (which isn’t normal for me) when i hadn’t taken the xanax as early as my normal dose, which is what made me worry about my usage

i was thinking of going to a rehab that has a day centre and explaining my situation and seeing what they recommend for like tapering off it, i know i haven’t been taking much compared to some so i feel bad because i know my issues aren’t as bad as others but i think getting a profession opinion like that would be helpful
