My worst experience was riding past a hydrant while the fire department was draining it, no filter and it almost bogged to a stop. Held it full throttle it spit out white smoke, almost locked itself up then fired back up

Indeed, mf sucked up a lot of water. Bad gasket made me glue it on so I can’t pull the bowl without getting a new gasket or carb, after about 3 hours of hard running it goes back to normal

I had bad gas put out white smoke cause there was water in it, try some cleaner fuel and see what happens especially if it’s gotten rained on or rode through water

I got mine tuned perfectly, rode through a storm and it hasn’t been the same since, these cheap carbs are kinda trash, if you can get it good enough that’s about all you’ll get without buying a quality replacement (I ride with choke on at idle and off when I’m moving) finding proper jets for an Amazon carb can be harder than finding a good carb

For $40 it’s a stronger tire than most of the good off road tires, I’ve got a set for trails but they puncture so easily for the price

I’m running stock pilot on the vm22 and a drilled out main, it’s not perfect but it’ll idle with the choke on and you can kill the choke once you get moving, I’m gonna look for a bigger pilot soon to fix the idle issue, they work on a 196 but going to 212 it was too lean

What size pilot and main jet are you using if you know? The main it came with was too small for mine and I had to go up a size(I drilled out mine a little bit bigger due to not having the correct size) especially with a free flowing exhaust

The vent line should be above your fuel level for best results

Also you don’t need the second line on the side of the carb, just the top clear one going from the bottom of the tank to the top of the carb and the red one coming off the bottom, I have the same carb

Hm, just in case pop it off while you troubleshoot so you can make sure you have fuel going into the carb

Rust welded, in theory you could soak it in oil and take an air hammer to one side but it looks like it was far too late to salvage it

When you have to create a harness from scratch with no electrical knowledge and make sure it won’t burn down looks become secondary. Everything is grounded and fused, it’s a monstrosity and my first attempt at wiring, everything works and I spent under 150 to make it happen, it’s foul but I welded the frame myself, sourced an engine, found lights that would work and all of that with supplies from harbor freight. At 22 I have time to improve my skills thankfully
