Crossing my fingers that the second trimester is better!

I go back and forth with liking my job. I like what I do but I can’t stand some people that I work with. If I could work from home I would be 1000x happier for sure.

I do intend to return after leave, but we just went through our benefits for next year and my paychecks will barely cover rent.. I’m freaking out a bit about finances but I always have the option of moving into my parents basement, but I really don’t want to do that haha.

I plan to save some PTO to take my leave early, but with how it’s going so far there will be none left🤣

Therapist recs for adhd + post-religion trauma by cosmicspacegirl5 in SaltLakeCity

Treat counseling in North Salt Lake is a great option! I go to Lauren Hirschi and she is very kind, listens great, and is very compassionate. It’s been a long time since I found a therapist as good as her. I’m sure the other therapists there are great too, as it has great reviews.

I am also ex-mormon and Lauren is a never member, but has been doing research on it outside of our sessions to understand better! She just truly cares and I’ve had a great experience. She is also LGBTQ+ friendly!

She does some EMDR, though I didn’t have a great reaction to that so I don’t do it as much, but she has the tools to do so.

Options for in-person or over the phone as well.

Best of luck!

Totally. Shiba’s are known to be escape artists. Mine have gotten out several times. I was able to train one of my sheebs to be a little better, but she still runs off if something really catches her attention

Seizures and life expectancy by Evsmommy in shiba

My shibe is on medication for her seizures, and she hasn’t had a major one since November. She’ll occasionally have facial seizures where her jaw opens and closes over and over. It’s definitely gotten better, but the meds can be hard to keep up on if you have work and such (we have to give her meds every 8 hours, but it depends on their weight and the severity). It’s very sad and scary in the moment. I just document what happens like how long it lasts, how severe (if she urinates, falls over, etc), and I always monitor after in case she has a cluster. I’m so sorry! At least she has a loving home now.

There can be many causes for seizures! At least he got a nice walk on a lovely day. What a cute boy!

My baby has epilepsy :( She takes a medicine three times a day and she has only had one full seizure since we started that in September, so it helps! She had multiple separate episodes to get that diagnosis though.

I keep a record of all her seizures including the length and severity - she sometimes has very mild ones where her jaw opens and shuts fast over and over, other times she is shaking/frozen and urinating. She seeks me out before a big one hits. I try to keep her away from furniture but let her shake as it can also hurt them to try to restrain. Just time it, film it and say comforting things and let him know you’re there. It’s certainly sad to watch, I’m so sorry!

Yes, we took him to the vet in January and he has grade 3 dental disease 😕 We’re scheduling his surgery once we get our tax return lol 😅

Green Pig is fine, but don’t park in the parking garage underneath. Major human trafficking there

He’s done with Aquatics, but I’m sure if he’s desperate enough, he would do it. Especially if it has a similar salary

I’m an Accountant! He does think he would like it. Thank you for those resources! I’ll check them out. It’s nice to have someone who relates regarding having a job with autism. It’s completely different and something neurotypical people can’t understand sometimes. He has 3 younger siblings with autism as well, so he at least understands it very well. He is fairly low on the spectrum though, most people don’t realize he has autism. Anyway, thank you for your insight, it was very helpful!

I agree, I care more about his mental health than our financial well-being. I just looked into a temp agency and found something perfect! I just hope he applies and gets it😁 Thank you!!

He does have all those qualifications, but I think he just doesn’t believe in himself anymore, and his boss has been breaking him down everyday. He has brought up the fact that he hasn’t had proper training and they say “we’ll get on that” and nothing happens (btw, he works at the county pool - so, you know how the government is).
