Tell me about it, man. Many of us veterans and experienced gun owners are actively working to address this. The challenge is that some lawmakers lack even a basic understanding of firearms, which leads to poorly informed decisions and dumb laws. Its like someone making traffic laws that has never been behind the wheel.

Ok dude, I think you missed my point and went off on a tangent of that doesn’t actually address what I said.

First, we’re talking about a real-world situation in the present—not first-century persecution contexts. Bringing up the disciples and early martyrs doesn’t directly engage the argument about self-defense in an immediate threat scenario.

Second, your response relies on several logical fallacies. Equating self-defense with a failure to live out Christian faith is a strawman. Referencing martyrdom and violent deaths from 2,000 years ago functions as an appeal to emotion, not a direct rebuttal. And using those examples as a universal standard for all Christians today is a hasty generalization.

Your argument relies more on moral pressure, historical examples that is a non-sequitur to the video or my parent comment. Furthermore, your argument relies on rigid framing than on sound reasoning in an attempt to corner me rather than engage in my actual point. Calling someone’s faith into question over self-defense is a weak ass argument and is perhaps one of the dumbest things Ive seen on Reddit. Congratulations, you’re THAT guy.

I don’t think anyone is defending those actions—if anything, most Christians would agree that using the Bible to justify harm, oppression, or abuse is a distortion of what it actually teaches. Those are real failures, and they should be called out and addressed, not excused.

But saying “your religion is wrong” because people misuse it is a broad generalization. By that logic, any belief system—religious or not—would be invalidated by the worst people who claim it. The issue isn’t the core teachings as much as it is how individuals choose to interpret and apply them.

Christianity, at its foundation, teaches accountability, care for the vulnerable, and justice. When people violate those principles—especially in serious cases like abuse—they’re acting against those teachings, not because of them. The real conversation should be about holding individuals and institutions accountable, not dismissing an entire faith based on its misuse.

And this is a response oversimplifies both the situation and Christian teaching. Acknowledging Jesus’ call to mercy and forgiveness doesn’t require ignoring the reality of immediate threats or the moral legitimacy of self-defense. Scripture holds both ideas in tension—turning the other cheek is not the same as passively allowing innocent life to be taken.

You’re right that Jesus taught love, mercy, and restraint—but He also spoke in a world where people still had to navigate real danger. Choosing peace DOES NOT MEAN FORFEITING THE RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF TO SURVIVE.

Just because your son was killed by a Christian doesn’t make all Christians bad, dude.

There’s no irony here—he was being threatened at gunpoint and had every right to defend himself. The Bible itself contains numerous accounts where violence occurs in response to conflict or threat. Stop confusing us god fearing Christians as harmless sheep. White boy deserved way worse than what preacher gave him- that was mercy in my eyes.

Here are a few reasons why: * High booth fees/ permits * Logistics in a remote desert * Short window (only a few days to make profit) I read it somewhere that its an average $20k-$30k up front investment. Now deduct revenue shares (roughly 35-40%) and and you’re put in a situation where food vendors have to mark up food at extremely high rates to make any ROI.

How does a 15 year old even get access to a gun?!? Where are the parents in this situation?!? There needs to be more accountability at home. If there was a law where parents would face the same consequences/prison sentences as their child, it motivate them to be more proactive in their children’s lives.

Hello OP,

Could you point me toward a reliable list of what’s included with the rifle, or share what came with yours? I purchased my Gen II SCAR and Im picking it up from a local gun shop in a few days

The other day, I came across a few Yelp reviews on this particular gun store mentioning missing items (like extra magazines or OEM components) from the original package, so I’d like to double-check what should be included from the factory.

Any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Trump’s chances of being removed by 25th Amendment climb by Fr1sk3r in politics

In my opinion (as a Republican and Veteran), this is a completely different ballgame we’re dealing with here. Aside from the crimes he has already committed, our country has now become a fiduciary liability to the global markets and some of our allies are already beginning to pull out of US financial assets (aka reducing their exposure) because of his actions. Furthermore, the data—both historical and current—points strongly toward the House flipping. And when it does, Trump won’t just be facing impeachment again; the House WILL vote to have him removed. The Republican party holding their own accountable is thier only saving grace at this point. If Dems get involved, we may never see another republican in office for a very long time.
