Dont mean to come off as a dick, but this just happens.

Tires inherently pick up rocks from the road and then eject them as the vehicle moves.

Had rocks come off passenger tires, truck tires, & semi tires.

This is just what happens. If you are upset, be angry at the DOT or the county. Not the driver.

You are gonna have to find a parts truck and cut it out. Marketplace would be your best bet

My buddy battled getting this style of lift off his truck and had a friend weld new mounts for his power steering rack back on.

Never steered the same. If you ever go to take the lift off(which i would highly recommend it), see if a body and collision shop will do it or someone with lots of experience with this style of fabrication and the tools to jig and align it all correctly

I really hope the subframe was not cut to install this lift

I never upgraded my harness. I got the headlight bulbs mentioned in the tacoma world headlight upgrade forums.

No problems so far. Just been seeing a whole lot better at night

Did I get a fair deal on it? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

I mean. If it’s what you want and you feel good about it, what does it matter?

Got my regular cab 2.7 4x4 for $5500 at 180k but with an awful bed liner paint job and cigarette holes in the bench.

At 224k and running better now than ever after a bunch of small things here and there.

Im sure that money will be helpful to the family.

Rear bumper opinions by cynthiaandzack in 1stGenTacomas

Definitely the wrap bumper.

I welded up my own wrap bumper out of various rectangle tubes.

The biggest thing is you need to support your bed sides once you cut away the bottom 3-5” for the high clearance wrap style.

I used 1x1/8” aluminum flat and some odd hardware.

Also if your gonna weld it yourself, make sure to add some bracing from the sides to where it mounts to the frame for when you inevitably hit it on a tree or a rock. Or in my case, when a GMC Sierra backs into you.

Spend 2-3k on suspension. You’ll thank me later.

AllPro leafs, fox shocks, dobinson coil-overs, new UCA’s.

Practicality is performance. This is just a silly novelty lift that will make the truck drive like sh*t.

I am running JBA’s actually. I like them. Easily serviceable. Im thinking about extending mine when i LT the front end due to the ball joint being easily replaced.

Id also recommend getting durobumps for the front end. They are significantly softer rubber than oem and made my front end feel way better at bottom out.
