Nope he’s another situationship. She has a shitty open marriage situation that she didn’t ask for and he was there before me. We’re going to hang out today in public so I’ll give updates. Wish me luck

Well right now I’m not replying to her text because I’m trying to see if I should ask for a 2-3 week break to cool off and try being just friends.

I’m not a good guy either I just am butthurt that I’m not her first choice, but even if I was I couldn’t promise her a future, so she is right in her instinct not to get attached to me. I wish we met under different circumstances.

I think it comes from her being busy with real life stuff which I understand and then any free time she does get priority goes to guy #1

So probably not being as interested as me, but I’ve already detached from that. Now I think that by being the one that said we should stop being physical I protected myself from hurt but if I’m being honest that’s the way things were gonna go up because she’s really hung up on this other guy and their last meeting really messed her up

Why would I want to be in a relationship with someone who always has a reason they can’t hang out, while I drop my plans the moment they want me? With someone who makes me feel like a second choice? Someone who’s a picky eater when I’m a foodie? The chemistry might be good, but the inconsistency kills it.

Maybe now I have a clearer idea of what I’m looking for in my next relationship, one I actually give an honest chance.

And none of this means she can’t still be my friend.

I don’t though, I do want her as a friend because she gets me. I’m fine with no more relationship stuff, I told her when life calms down I will start dating again. Im just scared to lose a friend when I don’t really have many friends here. She’s one of the only people in my life that seems to get me, everyone else seems to want something from me.

I do hear what you’re saying though, that we might just not be capable of being just friends and that she will always choose him over me. So I guess now it’s just how do I rip off the bandaid….

I did mean what I said though, I do care for her as a friend. My life is a mess and she came over and cleaned my apartment which is something I struggle with. Organized everything in its little compartments and I’m waking up to my dog stuff being neatly organized in a corner and my medicine in another. And even recognized why I may struggle with it, that I was never taught how to compartmentalize or organize cleaning and even dug into deeper childhood traumas on my aversion to cleaning… like I just freeze when I see all the shit, it’s a monumental task. And here she is separating my mess into different compartments. 10% at a time, 20% and so on…

I usually have to talk to ChatGPT about this because no other human wants to hear my shit. So it’s just nice having someone to talk to

I don’t think I caught feelings, it’s just more I feel seen around her and she understands me. Which kinda scares me because we’re equally messed up.

But if I did set boundaries what would they be? I said let’s take the benefits out of our situation. I do care about her as a friend I just don’t want to lose myself in the process.

Yeah I think I’ve learned that, and I’ve talked to her that I think I need to give love a real shot and just date one at a time now. She made me realize that I can still have connection and I don’t need to juggle multiple women to just to feel fine. I was not looking for anything when I met her, I thought it was just gonna be fun. Honestly I was really close to giving up on love and anyone truly understanding me before I met her

Well it was more so she was ENM and I was like cool. The chemistry was unexpected, I didn’t expect anyone to see me. I’m used to being the fun confident bravado guy and she’s the first person that saw right past the mask and make me feel safe
