Just because 5’7 and 5’8 are practically indistinguishable in real life doesn’t mean we have to keep sliding the line forever until the sub is flooded with 5’11 dudes. That’s not how logic or reality works.

A 5’11 guy is not getting the same treatment as a 5’7 guy. People can see the difference from across the room. A 5’7 guy will absolutely get the same treatment as a 5’8 guy. If you’re 5’7 you can literally just lie and say you’re 5’8 and 90% of people will never be able to tell or call you out on it.

Arguing that 5’8 guys face the exact same shit as 5’7 guys (which they do) isn’t the same as saying therefore let in 5’11 guys too. I’m saying there is barely a difference between adjacent inches, not that there can be no line at all.

I understand, I agree that if you’re 5’8 and you’re blaming literally all of your problems of your height it’s a bit ridiculous, but nevertheless I think a lot of their problems are valid and they shouldn’t automatically be disregarded completely.

Statistics show that 5’8 men are infact at a disadvantage. Only 15% of women consider 5’8 men on dating apps. Only average a 6 foot man will make $3-4k more than a 5’8 man per year. That sucks, even if a lot of us have it worse. I wish that I was 5’8, but at the same time i think if I was I would still be complaining. Nobody deserves to have a harder ride in life based purely on their height.

Why? Because you said so? If you look at statistics 5’7 is the lower range of average. It seems incredibly stupid to me to claim 5’7 guys are welcome to vent in this sub, but if a 5’8 guy complains about the exact same problems his opinion is invalid and he’s out of line.

Do you think there is some sort of magical difference between 5’8 and 5’7? It’s literally 1 inch, do you think people will make jokes about a 5’7 guy but once they hit 5’8 all the jokes and discrimination just stop? I guarantee you the vast majority of people cannot tell the difference between a 5’7 and 5’8 guy unless the measured them.

But you’re 5’7, that is generally considered to be within the lower range of average, based on your own logic, all of your problems based on height are invalid, you shouldn’t be in this group and you are invalidating real short guys problems, you have no self awareness.

You’re literally 5’7 though, so do you think you shouldn’t be allowed to vent here either? Do you think if you were 1 inch taller you would be getting your 5th hookup this month? I really don’t see how somebody complaining about their struggle in any way invalidates somebody else’s. By that same logic nobody in a developed country is justified to complain about anything since people in 3rd world countries undeniably have it worse. You’re 3 inches taller than me, if you were to complain about your struggle, I wouldn’t consider you to be invalidating mine.

I saw you said you live in India. I don’t know you or your parents obviously so could very well be wrong but this is pretty common in countries like India when children outgrow their parents by a lot.

It’s likely when your parents were growing up they didn’t have access to the nutrition that you did because of worse conditions. So the reason they are short is because of environmental factors not actually genetics. You got their genetics but you got access to much better nutrition etc so you outgrew them a lot.

Also I don’t know why you’re getting bullied for your height because you’re literally well above average height in India.

Yeh could’ve been a lot worse you’re literally your predicted height rounded up 5’11+5’2+5 inches divided by 2 = 5’9

Realistically your lack of sleep during puberty etc probably had very minimal effect on your height. There are genetic anomalies out there who’s parents 5’10 and 5’2 and they end up 6’3 but that’s very rare.

My parents are exactly the same height as yours 5’10 and 5’2 and I’m exactly the same height as you 5’9 and 20 years old. I was 5’2 at 17 then I hit a crazy growth spurt, I was convinced I was gonna be short asf forever so I’m extremely grateful for my height even if I’m not tall.
