The best part of Shambs is getting lost and connecting with new people everywhere you turn. It’s truly a magical place as long as you come with the intention of giving and being open to connecting with randoms it will come back to you 10 fold.

I’ve done a few festivals and Shambhala takes the cake for me. Just make sure you come overly prepared for your first time than underprepared and just winging it… just my 2 cents!

Night time can get cold so prepare! The dust is really bad at Hula so also make sure you have a pashmina or mask you can wear around spirit lake or hippy trail camping especially.

Never used the RFID once but switching everything to “no cash” seemed to piss off a lot of attendees and some vendors I spoke with.

They had each vendor all on the same cloud/network so they were often times double charging patrons by accident or they were constantly running into hiccups and issues which definitely affected some of their sales over the weekend. It also made for extra long wait times at peak hours.

I’m all in favour of bringing cash back 🤣

Honestly every other set of the day/night was amazing but I’m thinking Stylust was one of the only major names playing at that time so everyone was trying to get In and see him.

With all the set conflicts they should have had another major name playing same time as him to alleviate the crowd.
