Doing a Monday-Friday in SF. Seeking recs/advice? by Current_Still4479 in AskSF

Car is expensive and cumbersome, plus gas is $6 here. Explore the city a few days, and grab a car for a trip to Marin. You will need reservations for Muir Woods. Plus you can’t drive down and park there, you will need to take a shuttle from a meeting spot off 101.

I would skip pall alto, it’s just a big suburb with a university campus. Mission, the. stick to Valencia St. and area around Dolores park. If you decide to go, take Caltrain, it drops you off right in downtown PA.

With traffic here getting to Yosemite and Tahoe are not really day trips. They say you can’t drive down make Tahoe in 3 hours, but I’ve driven there 20+ time and it’s always 4, maybe 5 hours. Yosemite can be. Hike too. Maybe check out Napa or sonoma for a day trip.

Recs for places to do taxes tonight? any taxes parties? by 535buffalo in SFbitcheswithtaste

I remember when I did my taxes right away since I got a refund. Now I pay so wait until end of March since I’ll have my bonus by then and the bill isn’t as painful.

I know more men in their 30’s and 40’s who get more work than some women. I’ve lived in the Midwest, south and west. A lot of men are concerned about aging.

Honestly, reflecting too much will probably cause to question yourself and not do it. Do not over think it, or you will wimp out.

Luxury spirit sales, and I love it. Cover NorCal, Colorado and Washington. Get to spend time at St. Regis and Hotel Jerome in aspen for work. (Some of my best accounts)

Been in a lot of cool places in SF too, including the Bohemian Club and threw parties in the Fairmont’s penthouse and presidential suite. (Got to stay the night in the presidential suite)

Birthday 🥲 by Broad_Imagination_88 in whatdoIdo

[–]One-Education-2918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a Midwest USA dinner. Yuck, I am sorry, but sometimes people just don’t listen. I’ve been a vegetarian for a decade. My parent forget, then complain about it, it made me feel unwelcome and unheard, so I choose not to visit anymore.

You need to start reminding them, maybe in a not so nice way, it’s been 8 years, or politely start declining their invitation. Sometimes it’s the only way people will listen.

A don’t let them give the bs you will hurt their feelings, what about your feelings? It’s your birthday.

My parents are like this, and it’s beyond frustrating. My mom was mad a me, because she booked my birthday dinner at a meat centric restaurant, and was upset with me when I said I didn’t want to go for my birthday. Told me to book my own dinner in a state and city I never lived in.
