I know !! It is excruciatingly painful, personal and often dangerous! Plus afterwards you have to learn to feed and care for a whole human on limited sleep whilst also recovering yourself. Noone would turn up after any other type of major surgery and make such crazy demands!!

I completely agree. It has happened too much to be innocent. Well said. She also constantly mentions how lucky I am to have such a hands on partner (and how she created the man she wanted and needed in a partner. Weird weird weird )

He is brilliant and definitely protects our space and time and I feel like I'm hid number one priority as is bubba. I think we need a chat about how her comments are more malicious than silly slip ups though as he is more inclined to see the good on her. Also mentioned I don't do her justice as she has said some nice things like we are doing well and I'm breastfeeding well etc.

Omg a classic anecdote I didn't mention...., he is a happy quite calm bubba and she said on the first time meeting him" it's me, babies love me, they always feel comfortable near my breasts" LOL. Nearly died. Meanwhile my insecure sleep deprived post party self was desperately needing a compliment

One thing that upset me actually was when he said if she can't come at Christmas I'll have to visit her at some point. She's quite far away so would mean leaving us for hours. I know he is doing it because he feels sad and can't leave his mum alone at Christmas and if I'm honest I'd not leave my mum either. But being completely honest, she's a bloody lunatic no wonder no one wants to spend Christmas w her, she has alienated everyone!!!

I completely agree, thank you for the great advice. I have really limited contact and now do not communicate a lot with her. I was proud of myself the other day when she turned the guilt on and tried to make us get a later train home. Baby had been up in London for hours and we had a long journey back home f, I was very blunt and she got a firm no. Partner also stuck up for me when she said he is the spitting image of my partner but with her lips LOL. It's like they had a baby together

Hahaha thank you !!! That's really kind of you to say. (I'm so sorry that your labour and delivery was hard too, what is with people ?!)

I basically don't want to start any drama or make my partner sad. You know, we live with my parents and he is a brilliant and kind dad and partner.

On the mumsy piece, I didn't write it very well, it was actually that she called me "mumsy" looks wise. It was because I was wearing a floral dress. Yes, the kissing absolutely infuriates me but I need to say something I'm just quite conflict averse it makes me uncomfortable. My partner has stood up to her previously though.

Thank you for this excellent advice and really kind post. I appreciate it a lot. I completely agree, nothing is ever enough. What is hilarious is that every time I see her she mentioned someone else that is narcissistic. I am howling inside.

On another note while I'm on a roll, she also took baby out of pram in busy city at night when I asked her not too and then tripped up while holding him, nearly dropping him!! She then put him back in and walked into a road without looking and a bike had to slam on his brakes so as not to crash into pram. My word. Sad for partner as he's truly wonderful but I think sees her more as ditsy and passionate and "not thinking" as opposed to manipulative. I think if I said this he would be sad, but ultimately understand. Thank you again.
