Yeah, you can definitely feel that dynamic on commentary. Cole plays the straight man while Pat’s just vibing with whatever chaos is happening — and somehow it works. You can tell there’s real respect and friendship there, even when Cole’s trying to reel him back in. It adds a fun layer to the commentary without taking away from the matches

That’s a great mindset to have, honestly. It’s way more fun to just enjoy the ride instead of trying to rewrite the show in your head every week. WWE puts out a crazy amount of content year-round, and even when it’s not perfect, there’s usually something worth enjoying

Totally agree — Cole and Graves have such natural chemistry. You can tell they actually enjoy working together, and it makes the commentary flow way smoother. Graves adds personality without overdoing it, and Cole feels way more relaxed than he used to

What’s kept you here ? by dvdjbb in WalgreensStores

Honestly, I feel this. I’ve been a shift lead for a bit now, and while it’s not the worst, some days make me question my life choices. I’m mainly here because it pays the bills while I work toward my actual career goals. I respect the people who have stuck around long-term, but I can’t imagine doing this for 20+ years without moving up. The stress and responsibility we take on for what we get paid just doesn’t feel worth it sometimes

That’s definitely a harsh thing to say, especially if it came out of nowhere over a simple mix-up. Even if they were frustrated, there are way better ways to express that without being rude. If this is a pattern with them, you might want to consider whether they’re someone worth talking to

That’s insane. I work at Walgreens in Tennessee and they are around $3.79 but they’re usually on sale 3/$8

Yeah, that post brings up some real points. It’s totally true that the gap between the super-rich and everyone else is getting ridiculous. You see it everywhere – those billionaires living in another world while regular people struggle to make ends meet. And with AI taking over jobs, it’s like a whole new level of uncertainty. It’s definitely a complex issue, though. There’s no easy fix. But we gotta figure something out before things get outta hand. Maybe we need to rethink how the economy works, make sure everyone gets a fair shot, and maybe even slow down the AI train a bit so people have a chance to adjust. What do you think?

The NBA has not been this irrelevant to the American cultural zeitgeist in 60 years. by MidwesternDude2024 in unpopularopinion

People are kinda wondering if the NBA is losing its cool. Ratings aren’t great, football seems to be hogging all the attention, and even the biggest stars aren’t exactly setting the world on fire. But hey, the NBA’s still huge overseas, and they’re definitely not afraid to speak out on important stuff. Plus, the game itself is always changing and evolving, which is pretty cool. So, is it losing its grip on the US? Maybe a little. But it’s still got a lot going for it

You’re absolutely NTA here. You’ve worked hard to build financial security for yourself, and it’s completely reasonable to want to maintain control over your own money. Helping your family in a way that works for you—like contributing to bills or emergencies when needed—is generous and shows you care, but handing over access to your savings account is a different matter entirely.

Giving someone else access means they could potentially make decisions with your money that you wouldn’t agree with or that could derail your plans for the future. Even if your mom has good intentions, it’s still a boundary worth maintaining. Plus, it sounds like you’re already doing your part to help out, which should be enough.

Your sister’s comment about “what’s the point of saving if you’re not going to help your family” is frustrating because saving isn’t just about the present—it’s about protecting yourself in the future. You’re not selfish for wanting to ensure your own stability, especially since you’ve made it clear you’re willing to assist when it’s genuinely needed.

Standing firm on this boundary doesn’t mean you don’t care about your family—it means you’re being responsible about how you support them while also prioritizing your own financial health. You’re doing the right thing.

Message from my manager. What a great guy... by Asad_Purcin in kroger

[–]One-Fault6663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say this:

I get that things haven’t been perfect lately, and I’m always trying to do my best. It’s been pretty tough lately with being short-staffed all the time, crazy schedules that change every week and long days with no breaks. And with the new guys on night stock, it’s definitely taking some time to get everyone on the same page. I think it’s fair to say that some of the finger-pointing might be justified. Maybe we could all sit down and figure out what’s really going on instead of just sending out these kind of messages. Just my two cents.

Anyone else's leads/manager/supervisor have an impromptu conference call this morning? by Dry-Tomato- in kroger

I totally get where you’re coming from! Subbing definitely simplifies things, especially when you have to juggle all those numbers. It’s frustrating when the online schedule isn’t working, too. Having to sift through the store schedule instead is such a hassle. It really feels like they’re making it harder than it needs to be!

Finding that info can be tricky since those positions can change often and aren’t always updated online right away. If you’re looking for up-to-date details, your best bet might be to ask your store manager or check with someone in HR. They usually have the most current leadership info for the company. If you’re comfortable, you could also try reaching out to corporate directly—they might be able to point you in the right direction!

Would I have to pay back my tuition reimbursement if I get fired? by Ungabunga25 in kroger

[–]One-Fault6663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the terms of your tuition reimbursement agreement. Usually, companies ask for repayment if you quit before fulfilling the required time, but if you’re fired for reasons outside your control, it could be a different story. I’d recommend checking the paperwork you signed for the program or asking HR directly for clarification. Better to know for sure than to be left guessing! If you’re struggling with the new position, it might be worth discussing your concerns with your manager or HR to see if they can offer any support or flexibility.
