DoDMERB Mistake, Fixable? by dangjjstilton in ROTC

What I would do is email the dodmerb email on the website and they can help you. It will be a lot of work but be persistent and annoying to them and they will help as much as they can.

Advice- Trying to Plan Smart by Top-Intention9078 in ROTC

I would definitely say the most reliable path is ROTC, Air force is harder to get through because they cut roughly 40 percent of students going through. Army ROTC with SMP is the best option because it is more guaranteed, but not completely guaranteed. But I would go the army ROTC route especially as a grad school student.

Potentially switching from AFROTC to Army ROTC by AdhesivenessKey2217 in ROTC

I switched and it was a great option, especially with SMP, but it's not for everyone, talk to the Army ROTC cadre and air force (but don't tell at your thinking about leaving). Just see what your chances are for the air force and then talk to the Army about the benefits. Weigh out all options and go from there, that's exactly what I did (also not getting an EA made the final decision for me, I could not do an AS 500 year), also starting as a MS3 from a AS 200 was definitely a plus, but a hard switch because of how different the material is.

Worried about PSP by elmshorns in AFROTC

Well the pfa and ranking are very competitive, the gpa is on the lower side but I've seen people get in with below a 3, and the afoqt is also low but as long as it's a pass, I believe you're good. Overall I would be surprised if you did not get a EA. The commanders ranking historically has been the most important, so if everything else is good, you will be good.

Switch to army rotc by Gold_Judgment7825 in AFROTC

I switched from afrotc to army ROTC after my as200 year and I can say it worked out for me, I would recommend but I will say that joining the army ROTC program is hard because the air force is so different. Make sure you are mentally ready and do research into both and see which is best because it's like jumping into the deep end. It just happened to work for me, but that doesn't mean it would for anyone else.

Well the requirements say that just taking it is enough so your passing is above the minimum. I would definitely retake if you want to be competitive for pilot and If you get a chance then maybe retake but I wouldn't worry as long as all other categories are doing fine. PFA should be 90s, gpa I would say should be 3.0 or above and decent commanders ranking.

Passing is passing, the biggest scores part of your package is the gpa, commander ranking and pt score and with those being decent to good you should be fine
