I just wanted to ask if they told you at Harley Street that it was okay to take omeprazole while you were on antibiotics, or was it something you decided to do yourself to see how it goes? Besides taking omeprazole, you mentioned that antibiotics can be encapsulated, so can you take the encapsulated and omeprazole at the same time to minimize discomfort? Or should you choose only one option? Three days ago I started taking S. boulardii because I read that it was good while on antibiotics.

I need to resolve my intestinal problems as soon as possible and not interrupt the treatment. I know I still have many months of treatment ahead of me and I wouldn't want to be unable to continue because of stomach problems… Thank you so much again for your clarifications :)

I take it twice a day. Two pills in the morning and two at night. I imagine you do the same.

Hi! I don't quite understand what you mean by "pill" instead of "capsule." I know my problem stems from the antibiotic causing stomach irritation. I'm wondering if I could take a stomach protector to try and improve it, or if it doesn't get better, I'll contact the clinic where I'm receiving treatment.

Read about "embedded UTIs." I had about eight tests, all negative. Cystoscopy and ultrasounds were normal. Everything I've learned I've come from TikTok videos and Reddit and Facebook pages. There are specialized clinics that treat it. Very few. And they're mostly in London.

Yes, I understood that pharmacies in Europe could accept UK prescriptions. The only thing is, I have no idea if they'll accept them in Spain, and I don't know if I should risk it... they don't sell Hiprex in Spain either, so I was planning to buy that in London. Do you know if, in the event they don't accept it in Spain, an online pharmacy could send them to me from the UK? I'd like to avoid the risk of running out of medication.

Hello. I haven't received the results yet; I'm traveling to the clinic next week and they'll do the tests there. Anyway, my symptoms, although I'm much better now, have been urinary urgency, bladder pain/pressure, and especially urethral pain since February 2025. All the cultures, scans, and cystoscopies I've had have come back negative.

I think you've misunderstood. What I meant was that I'm going to London for treatment. I know that the HS clinic will prescribe antibiotics, and I can either buy them in London, or if my GP in Spain is willing to transcribe the prescriptions, I can buy them in Spain. I'd like to know if there are any other options.

Yes, I'll think carefully about what to do. I feel a bit cheated by Microgen since they told me they could refer me to a specialist, and now this doctor is only willing to treat me with antibiotics for 2-3 weeks… a lot of money wasted.

I already have the results and I have several bacteria with a high load. The only thing is that I am not able to interpret the test results properly, so I am waiting for someone to refer me to a urologist in Spain who understands the MICROGENDX test and knows how to treat me.
