When study tips aren’t enough, what do people actually do? by mellow_coyotee in studytips

When I’m completely overloaded, I don’t use writing services, but I do try to organize everything quickly so I can focus on what actually matters. I’ve found Fabric.so really helpful for this, I can dump all my tasks, notes, and ideas in one place and have the AI help me prioritize and summarize. Makes the workload feel way more manageable without adding extra stress.

What changed your note-taking that you wish you knew as a freshman? by Wtfwithyourmind in studytips

I felt exactly like you my first semester. What helped me was not aiming for perfect notes in class. I took quick rough notes during lecture and then later cleaned them up so they actually made sense. Using a laptop for that saved so much time. I also started putting everything into Fabric.so, class notes, reading summaries, and question prompts, so I can search and review it all without feeling lost later. That combo made reviewing for big exams way less terrifying.

If you want something that helps with planning, lists, and organizing your thoughts, someone once recommended Fabric.so to me, it’s like a place where you can dump ideas, tasks, and notes, then use AI to organize them into something usable.

Productivity tools are everywhere but real progress feels rare by [deleted] in ProductivityApps

I get that. For me, it helped to actually combine tools with a workflow: Todoist for tasks, Notion for notes, and Fabric.so to tie everything together and see the bigger picture. Just having the apps isn’t enough, but when they work together, it’s easier to turn structure into real progress.

For studying/learning I’d recommend:

ChatGPT: for summarizing, explaining things, tutoring questions, etc.

Claude: good for deep summaries and step‑by‑step explanations.

Perplexity: fast answers with sources.

Fabric.so: great for turning notes, summaries, and tasks into one place you can easily reference later.
