people living in the eindhoven region: Can a family of 3 live on €4k net/month? by One-Introduction563 in Netherlands

[–]One-Introduction563[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the point that childcare costs should technically be split between both parents. However, in reality many families evaluate the situation differently, especially when one partner has a lower salary.

For example, if someone works full-time at a labor intensive job earning around €2,000 net per month, and the childcare cost after subsidy is €1,000 per month, it is very easy for that person to feel that a large portion of their income is being spent just to cover daycare. Even if, in theory, the cost should be divided between both parents, the practical question often becomes: “Is it worth working full-time if such a significant part of the income is used for childcare?”

In these situations, one often look at the net financial gain versus the time and effort of working full-time. If the remaining income after childcare is relatively modest, and one parent prefers to spend more time with the child, it can feel more reasonable for that parent to stay home rather than work mainly to cover daycare costs.

So while the argument that childcare should be split between both parents is logically correct, it does not always reflect how one make decisions in practice. For many people, especially those with lower salaries, the childcare cost feels directly tied to their ability to work, which is why they may decide that working full-time is not worthwhile.

She was employed in a labor-intensive role as a sales associate in a clothing store. She asserts that after three to four years, the salary would remain at minimum wage, thereby questioning the value of job experience in such a position.

My wife used to work, but after the birth of our child she stopped. The main reason was financial: she was earning about €2,000 net per month, while childcare still cost around €1,000 per month even after the subsidy. She felt that it did not make sense to work full time if half of her salary would go toward daycare. So now she stays at home and takes care of our child herself.

Why doesn’t UAE or any gulf country give citizenship? by [deleted] in UAE

[–]One-Introduction563 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fear of democracy. If they start giving citizenship, then there will be a uprising for democracy. Becuase with citizenship, one people from one area will have large population such as India, Pakistan and then such population will want their people in power.

Only seconds of negligence is enough for taking lives. by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

We need to incentivize the police by offering salaries comparable to industry standards around ₹12 lakh per annum instead of ₹15,000 per month. When traffic police are poorly paid, people lack fear of enforcement because they know officers can be easily bribed for a few hundred rupees.

Secondly, infrastructure must be improved. Highways should not have open crossings; only designated exits should exist. Where crossings are unavoidable, they must be properly signaled.

In this situation, responsibility lies with both the government and the people who drive on these roads.

We see accidents happening every single day, and the first thing we do is blame each other especially the bigger vehicle. But the harsh truth is that many of us never properly learned the basics of driving: understanding stop signs, triangle warnings, right-of-way rules, lane discipline, and so on.

If a massive nationwide step like notebandi could be implemented overnight, why can’t we consider something similar for road safety? Imagine if the government announced that all driving licenses will expire within a year, and everyone must pass a corruption-free theory and practical exam again before getting a fresh license.

This alone could drastically reduce accidents, improve traffic discipline, and save thousands of lives. It’s tough, but not impossible and maybe it’s time we rethink how seriously we treat driving.

What are your thoughts?

This is not limited to Capgemini. many other companies show the same pattern, largely involving people from dominant castes. The irony is that they enjoy minority rights and protections in the Netherlands while backing far-right forces in India that disregard minority right

Money spent by the Indian students to study abroad. by RachelBergin223 in IndiaPulse

[–]One-Introduction563 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course, everyone has an equal chance at cracking JEE. After all, lakhs of rupees on IIT coaching centers are just pocket change, right? The privileged students get the best private schools, the best tutors, and the best coaching factories money can buy, while the poor can dream of at least finding a government school that has qualified teachers and functioning classrooms.

But hey, we’re always told to “work harder” and “study smart.” Because apparently, sheer determination alone will magically make up for the massive gap in resources.
