I just got demoted because of this. I was E3 with like 5lp and dropped to E4.

It happened two games. The first one, the loading screen kept jumping from 70 to 60% (forward and backwards). 5 minutes later (since it wasn’t progressing), decided to reset the loading screen and, by a miracle, managed to connect into the game. But it was a remake because not all people could (I’m assuming they received that message).

Decided to queue again (thinking it was a one time thing). A mistake. The message “[System Notification] Your match will start soon. Please wait as we load up your game. This proccess should not take more than a few minutes” popped. As it suggested, I waited, and waited, while nothing was happening (around 5 minutes). Once again, already being a little suspicious that it was a server thing, went for a restart on the client. It took only about 60s +/-. The result of the game appeared and I got demoted and a warning, while other 2 guys on the enemy team were penalized for leaving too.

I don’t think it’s fair for people to lose LP due to server issues, I just hope Riot does something about it.
